Sure, the cats will outclass EKU and pull this out. But at some point it has to be acknowledged that these are going to have to be baked into the cake with stoops. They inevitably turn 10 win seasons into 8 win seasons.

This team is poorly coached. A well coached SEC team doesn’t shit the bed like that. Especially not against a FCS team. Hell not anyone. We got problems. In the defensive backfield. The DL. The OL. The WR’s. The whole damn team. If you can flip a switch, then by God, flip the damn switch Stoops.

It is difficult to argue with what you have said. I guess there is a reason they call it "the line of scrimmage" ... it all starts AT and WITH the line.
Stoops is one of the highest paid coaches in the SEC. For $9mil we could get a much better coach. I just think Stoops has taken advantage of a weak SEC East and isn’t a great coach. He will be exposed big time once they get rid of divisions.
4 TD passes against an EKU isn’t a great accomplishment. Cincinnatis QB had 5 and they’re suppose to be bad this year.
A little early to say. He did look good at times. But he had some bad misses.
My big concern is the sluggish offense. Why the hell were we plodding so slow.

Yeah, he's so bad he threw for 299 yards on 65% completions and 4 TD's. I doubt any of you coaches noticed Yenser played subs today and had only 1 sack and he had plenty of time to throw. You might watch the routes the receiver run, it's not a Leary, it takes everyone doing their job. Stupid penalties cost us today. Also anyone thinking we were going to embarrass EKU should have known better, especially with the 3 coaches on their staff that was KY coaches in the past.
None of the coaches that can demand 9 mil are coming to ky. Stoops is the second longest tenured coach in the sec and that’s why he gets 9 mil. You act like uk looked at him with stars in their eye 10 years ago and threw 9 biggins at him. If he came out and won like gangbusters then a high profile team would have snatched him. If he sucked too hard we would have fired him. Like it or not he’s perfect for a program like ours. He’s slowly changing the culture here. Honestly he’s probably gonna pay for himself for UK.

I don't see much from this team. This year looks like it's not gonna be very good. Just doesn't seem to have that feeling that they are gonna perform well.

I don't see anyone bitching about Dane Key missing several well thrown balls. But all of a sudden our quarterback is horrible. Our fans suck unless we win every game by 50. They had a bad game today and still won. Build on it. That is why you play EKU second game of the season so when you realize your weaknesses you don't lose the game. This site is just damn near unbearable anymore. Do any of you take joy in winning a game, or life in general?
Cincy beat Pitt at Pitt tonight. UC is now 2-0. Not sure why everyone around here thinks UC was supposed to be bad.

As critical as I have been of him because I feel like he does less with more... this is a great take he has won at such a level to change the culture and build pride in the program but not so much the big boys will steal him away. In the long run may be for the best.... it sure would be damn nice to win meaningful games against ranked sec opponents that mean something late in the season though.
Coen seems to be calling a better game and keeping the QB upright this year. Even the announcers last year made comments about Scang and his slow developing plays with a poor Oline..
Cincy put up 42 before halftime against EKU. We were tied 7-7. We are struggling right now..
I think it's more that we're not NEARLY as talented as we thought that we would be.
Pretty hard for Joker to get a decent QB when you have a "recruiting" room like we had leading up to the two two win seasons. Or any other talent to go with them. Brooks did an amazing job with the support he had, not sure any one else could have done any better. Didn't Stoops have the same miserable TWO win season his first year as Joker had, and that was after adding three four star recruits.
Even with the stadium mods and a new recruiting room we were so far down in the dirt when Stoops took over his first class only had three four star recruits. And our in state four star QB commit his second year probably had as much to do with us signing ten four stars as anything, we owe him a lot, too bad he got injured. That class got us started. I think you are jumping to conclusions about our new QB, he (along with the whole team) had a much better second half.

I do try to be level headed and not want to jump off the cliff over a bad game .. but that first half , hell the first series , sucked the entire air out of the stadium yesterday . You could smell how flat the team was and its just disappointing . At least to those who drive hours to be there , who put huge .. I mean huge time and energy( and $$$ ) into being in the seats and we get a team that looks like total dog crap . I love Leary .. but he was super bad in 2-3 series in the 2nd Q . It was such a bad half it distorted the better play in half 2 . You can hide EKU gave up 60 plus to UC . And yet we cant execute a QB to keep. a drive alive . Just not good .
