Ugo

Dilly and Reed are about the only freshmen that haven’t overall disappointed. Bradshaw and Edwards have been huge disappointments. DJ is ok but hasn’t been insane.

Ugo definitely seems like the only 7 footer who knows what he is doing out there. One of Bradshaw or Big Z needs to figure it out so we can have another 7 footer to give us some defense, rebounding, and some scoring. One of the big weaknesses of this team is scoring in the post over length. Mitchell can score in the post some but if we face a big long team and need a high percentage 2pt basket, who can get one for us?

Ugo was a FORCE on the defensive end!!! He blocked shots but just as important was how he intimidated the Arky Guards once they got into the Paint!!

He played the Pick-And-Roll better than anyone had all year from his spot. And he DUNKED the ball when he got it in the Paint and ate up space for our guards to take off.

His length is a HUGE asset!!

Reeves was also AWESOME in the 2nd half. That step-back 3 to put us up 4 with about 2 minutes left was HUGE!!!!

He is so smooth this season!!!
That shot was clutch. A handful of plays like that will make or break a season.

Ugo had a couple great switches on defense that stopped Arky penetration. He played a great game.

He gave us exactly what we needed. I'd like to see Oscar work with him in the offseason about using 2 hands when rebounding. There's still room for improvement on the 3-ball too. :p

IMO, UGO has played serviceably well this year, needs to learn how to stay planted on the defensive floor, stop the pogo stuff, but his per minute numbers so far this year are really comparable to what they were last year........
