UF safety blatantly pushed Timmons down on Towles' last pass

It probably should have been called. I think it should have been. Would it have mattered on who won the game? I'd say 99.99% chance no.
I do agree that it most likely would not have changed the outcome of the game. I just want to be left up to us and our play on the field and not on a no-call by the ref.

The first miss by Baker in the end zone, Hargreaves did not look back and just ran into Baker (or as Jesse Palmer said, "just kind of got his feet tangled up" -- Jesse should not call UF games), but there was no call where there is almost always a call. Headshakers.

Glad you brought that up. Seemed like pretty clear interference on that one . . . but, Baker still got himself wide open and just plain dropped that ball.

The call might have at least helped us net 3 points on that possession.

Some of you people are on crack if you think a home punter in Gainesville or Athens or Tuscaloosa that is run into with the force and contact Foster was on Saturday won't be an automatic 15 yards roughing the punter, auto 1st down. Add in the fact those incompetent corrupt refs couldnt even figure out how to implement their incorrect call for 5 minutes.

Until UK fans actually learn the rules, things will not change. The amount of force is not what is used to determine person AL foul or not. It is if his leg is extended, ie defenseless that makes it a personal foul

No doubt that Baker should have still made the catch, but the call would have brought about first down and might have changed the urgency that lead to the INT. Seemed like an easy call. The DB never looks back before he makes contact with the WR before the ball arrives.

Yeah, the fact that the guy caught him would have made no difference.

LOL

OK bud, like I said if you think a punter in home uni for Bama or LSU or Florida or Georgia gets run into, t'hell with the force multiplier applied ([eyeroll]) ain't drawing an auto 15 yard roughing + 1st down then you are on some good reality-denying drugs

ARTICLE 16. a. When it is obvious that a scrimmage kick will be made, no
opponent shall run into or rough the kicker or the holder of a place kick (A.R.
9-1-16-I, III and VI).
1. Roughing is a live-ball personal foul that endangers the kicker or holder.
7. When a player other than one who blocks a scrimmage kick runs into or
roughs the kicker or holder, it is a foul.
8. When in question whether the foul is running into or roughing, the foul
is roughing.

Ok, so when the ball is in the air at that point in the game, is it better for the defender to go ahead and interfere almost on purpose rather than risk letting the reciever catch the ball? If it's interference isn't it 15 yards from LOS and first down in college ball? In that instance isn't it more of a field position and time on the clock kind of call?

Looking at this play on replay right this very moment.

1. Timmons is not in any way behind the defense. The Florida defensive back is still 2-3 yards ahead of him.
2. The ball is underthrown.
3. Timmons turns and looks for the ball.
4. Timmons turns to come back to the ball.
5. The Florida safety puts 2 hands on him and prevents him from coming back to the ball. He gets uses the hands to get in front of him and prevent him from coming back to the ball.

The game's been over guys for nearly 5 days. I don't like the outcome either, but let's turn the page.

It was certainly pass interference but Timmons didn't help sell it at all. Think of it like this guys: imagine a point guard driving the lane, gets hacked, and plays through the foul with no reaction. That's exactly what Timmons did. Timmons should have flung his arms in the air as soon as he felt hands to his chest. Gotta make them throw the flag there.

I posted that on Tuesday. I emotionally turned the page the moment the game was over. However, it doesn't stop the enjoyment of looking back at a game with fresh eyes and seeing what really happened. Either way, I am ready to enjoy Saturday's game.

I'm pretty sure EVERY team's fans believe this.

Florida fans are saying the same thing. A hold on Hargreaves on Towles' long run that wasn't called ticks a lot of people off, and the helmet-to-helmet contact on Grier that the ref standing 5 yards away threw and then picked up really grinds people's gears.

Your looking for the refs to bail us out on a piss poor hail mary pass. Get upset with me if you want but timmons was not going to out compete two UF db's for the ball. Get over it!
Makes NO difference still was pass interference...someone on the show mon asked about those two plays and MS said those were two he sent to conference office and would have no comment for fear of getting fined which tells me he thought they both were pass interference

I'm assuming you are a Florida fan? Maybe not. Regardless...that hold on Hargreaves was legit...but the hit by Harmon on Grier...was NOT helmet to helmet. He led with his shoulder with his head up. And their were many more bad calls that wen't against Kentucky then against Florida. there were a handful of plays that could have been pass interference on UF that weren't called. And the most ridiculous call was the unnecessary roughness call on Henderson that gave Florida 15 yards and a first down instead of 3 and forever one their half yard line. Grier just got done blocking McClain when the RB was scrambling so Henderson hit him back. Horrible call...even Palmer said it was a horrible call...that could have been a huge play if they are punting out of the back of their end zone. Pathetic...

Yep sometimes the squeaky wheel gets heard, it wouldn't have hurt.
