uavel fans want UK rematch in NCAA tourney

IF they get to play us again and IF we beat them again; they'll need to get pitino a padded room.
I kinda think Pitino would skip out on this game . You know, like he did his press conference. He'd make Willard coach the game . lol

i thought you excepted them from the list?
i meant the first game you can't consider except that it established the tourney rivalry. then we beat them twice, and they are a regional team. the list is not that important if you get the overall picture. the tards would lose.

Meh

Their players don't get up to play us. The game means more to UK players. So, we'd crush them.

Why wouldn't they? I think you can definitely argue they are the better team, at least right now. We were hot from the perimeter and at home and that was basically the difference.

My favorite Cardism right now is that they are our "Super bowl".

It makes so little sense but yet some of them actually believe it.

The same guy who coined the phrase LPT for "Louisville's Probationary Terms" also keeps saying we treat it like the Super Bowl. Maybe U of L should pay a little more attention to the game and not the message boards since a 1-8 record is pretty pathetic against your rival. Probably too busy pushing 70 year old women into a pool to learn stats and figures.

Here is "Mr Super Bowl" at work - fun stuff starts about the 1:45 mark:)

True story. When I was in Jr. High School c. 1978-79, I got in a fight with a kid named "Denny". I ended up sitting on top of him beating on him and finally had to stop and catch my breath. I had his arms pinned to the ground and was breathing heavily trying to regain my energy. He looked up at me, mouth bleeding and eyes swollen, and dead seriously says, "You give?"

This is a perfect metaphor for how uavel fans are today.

Thanks, this was funny. Made me laugh and laughing is a good thing!

Yea...as an ex-compulsive gambler, I couldn't help feel for all of those who had the Cats -2.5. Those free throws, if just one were made, would've made them winners.
Reminded me why I finally quit gambling, albeit too late, after many years of losing bets!!

Easily remedied by sending looieviles Lee back to the line for two. Refs are getting better and better at controlling the spread. Funny how when you start pulling a big lead, all of a sudden the other team is in the bonus with 10 mins to go in the last half and your team can't get a call(Ulis/Murray).

I like how the woman made her kids get out of the pool and leave.

Soooooo, we have a UK fan who thinks UL is a better team RIGHT NOW........ Even though we controlled the majority of that game (jumped up 9 on them early, then extended it to 16 at one point with the ball) and won.

Without our best defender and Murray losing his mind for the better part of the second half. Not to mention our top recruit giving us nothing. Yeah, I'm sure they are just salivating at a second shot at us.

[pfftt]Try looking at the scoreboard. It says you're wrong, and that's all there is to it.

They are just talking out their backside, and they want no part of UK in the tourney - they could not even handle Morehead State a couple of years ago. His team has peaked with his luckily getting two 5th year players that have played very well, and his teams will always play tough D so they will do like most Pitino teams - win big or lose by a few. Our freshman will grow more in 3 months than most every team in the country where U of L has peaked and will maintain against better competition in the ACC. After this year it could get very ugly for U of L with the scandal, poor recruiting, and overall lack of talent within the program.

UL will know in a month or so if their projected improvement is merely wishful thinking. They are about to start conference play and will have to play decent competition regularly. What happens over the course of league play is that you get found out. Everyone does. People learn how to play you. So, improvement doesn't only go one way. Damion Lee has been shooting lights out. Odds are that won't continue. Maybe's he's the 2nd coming of Stephen Curry, but probably he's not. And competition will show that one way or the other. Cupcakes don't reveal that. Cupcakes let you learn to play together but in a mostly psychological way. Labissiere's weakness didn't wait on league play. People found that early. One advantage of that is that he knows what he needs to work on. And Jamal Murray will learn -- hopefully -- to not drive with the ball exposed. And on and on.

Everybody seems to be so sure about how things will develop. "10 points better!" Who knows that kind of thing? Nobody.

I honestly think we would beat them worse in March:
A. Briscoe would be back and much better.
B. Skal would have to be much better.
C. Murray would have learned to cutdown on the turnovers.
D. Poythress' knee surgery would be a distant memory
E. Lee will be much improved because this is the first year he will have gotten significant minutes.
F. Ulis will be that much better because he is only a Jr.

I think we'd beat the Birds by about 15.

Cats had UL down double digits most of the game and by 16 before officiating allowed them back in the game.

I used to beat a guy I know at arm wrestling all the time and he would still kiss his bicep and want a rematch every day. The result was the same each time....wishful thinking doesn't get you the win.

If Murray had been under control we would have won by 15 or more this game

Ulis is a sophomore.
