I know, we have not had a ton of recent success from California especially.Only problem is that he is west coast player, it is hard to pull kids from this area

Edwards from Vandy?3 guards I would add if Kentucky has interest would be Harrington hargress, Jason Edwards, and Wesley Yates
Yes he entered the portalEdwards from Vandy?
Someone told me to watch out for Nate Oats on this one (like his scoring ability). But still yet, I think we are in it as much as any other school. My buddy tells me that staff feel good. Good meet like right before dead period. You heard anything on Pierre? All I’ve seen is Kentucky or ole miss
I didn’t see that. That would be a go for me.Yes he entered the portal
He has the "winning player" look on his faceI love Acaden Lewis. One of my favorite players in the class and I’m so happy he’s coming here. I think after a year or two he will be an absolute star. I think he makes quite an impact immediately but I love his long term potential as well.
Yeah I knew that making sure it was the same guy, he is rated fairly high in the portal rankings like in the 30’s. Right outside the top 10 guards available.Yes he entered the portal
Will he be the starting PG and Pope is looking for a backup ?
I think Lewis will be the backup as a Freshman. Will he be the starting PG and Pope is looking for a backup ?

Plenty of long, thin athletes in the SEC, physicality isn't just about your weight. Chad Baker Mazara comes to mindDoesn’t shoot well and is paper thin. I thought Pope said he underestimated how physical the SEC is? Taking string beans like this kid shows me maybe he doesn’t understand. This kid won’t be able to finish through contact.
If this kid is a depth piece then whatever. But if he’s in the two deep I don’t see an upgrade here.
Agreed.I’ve watched this kid play handful of times. He’s a dog. He’s super athletic. He rebounds. He’s very quick. His second jump can beat almost everyone off the floor. Very quick hands. Can finish at the rim in many many ways. Crafty. Plays the game with speed, effort, and intensity. Really like him. Would love to add him.
Chad Baker Mazara always comes to mind when I think about lean bodied guys that were successful this year in the SEC. It helps that he is a 5th year senior, he's figured it out.Plenty of long, thin athletes in the SEC, physicality isn't just about your weight. Chad Baker Mazara comes to mind
I think riley will add muscles in offeseaon but his size and athleticism can not be taughtChad Baker Mazara always comes to mind when I think about lean bodied guys that were successful this year in the SEC. It helps that he is a 5th year senior, he's figured it out.
Problem is, I can't think of anyone else that did well in the SEC that has a frame like that.
I think he's a guy that Pope wants for the long game. Player retention is huge and this is a guy that can play right away and we still get him back for another year.I think riley will add muscles in offeseaon but his size and athleticism can not be taught
Well, Jaxson Robinson comes to mind next. To your point, he was also a 5th year guyChad Baker Mazara always comes to mind when I think about lean bodied guys that were successful this year in the SEC. It helps that he is a 5th year senior, he's figured it out.

See, it's really hard to find guys with a thin frame that could handle physicality.Well, Jaxson Robinson comes to mind next. To your point, he was also a 5th year guy
Dillingham was very slight and still scored in bunches, but of course he struggled badly on defense
This is going back a few years but Herb Jones at Bama was never filled out and I think he won SEC POY
I guess my point is it can work, but I’ll agree with you that it helps to have some beef
Riley has better athleticism than rob/jax, just needs to add more muscleSee, it's really hard to find guys with a thin frame that could handle physicality.
To me, Jaxson Robinsin struggled when teams got physical with him, with the exception of Tennessee for some reason.
Oakland got physical with Dillingham. To Rob's credit, he tried to play through it, but he just ended up forcing shots and found himself on the bench.
I just think the best bet, is to get guys that are physically ready for the SEC
100% agreeRiley has better athleticism than rob/jax, just needs to add more muscle
Don't understand why no interest in edwards3 guards I would add if Kentucky has interest would be Harrington hargress, Jason Edwards, and Wesley Yates
Agree with 1st 3, need blocking, rebounding centerYates, Pierre Jr, Alvaro, Dioubate
Would be nice, yeah?
