Trent Noah is a player that I believe could be a game changer for the 2025-2026 season. Before the 2024 season I didn't know anything about him or his game. I live out of state and did not follow his high school basketball years.

From my perspective, his Freshman year at UK was positive. I was impressed with his shooting abilities and overall basketball knowledge. He played with a lot of heart and determination. He should definitely be in the main rotation for this upcoming season.

If Trent commits to strength conditioning and improving footwork and handles. He has a chance to be a special player. Getting stronger will help him become a better defender and athlete.

Trent take your off-season workout seriously. You have the potential to play this game at the highest level (NBA). I see your talents don't waste them.

Are you talking to us or directly to Trent? I’m confused.

Hard to envision both Kam Williams and Trent Noah being part of the regular rotation. That is the guy he has to compete with for "starter" minutes (15 ish).

You don’t think Kam will be part of the regular rotation? What makes you think that?

Trent's got kind of a long torso and a shitty ape index (just like me), which puts him kind of between positions especially given his lateral speed. But he's hella strong and mentally tough, smart, and a great shooter. I don't think he'll ever be a starter but we'll be increasingly thankful for having him in our toolkit. I could definitely see him saving or briefly taking over some very big games along the course of his career here, which I hope will be four years.

Summary of Collin Chandler's 2025-26 projection profile from Evan Miya:
  • Overall Grade: C+ (Bayesian Performance Rating: 0.45, 62nd percentile)

  • Rebounding: C- (Projection: 12.5%, 22nd percentile)
  • Playmaking: D+ (Projection: -5.2, 18th percentile)
  • Court Impact: C (Projection: -0.15, 48th percentile)

Once the Kentucky roster is finalized, Miya won't project Chandler in the regular rotation. Which is FINE.

The fact that he's in THAT spot on Kentucky's roster speaks to how loaded the depth on the team is going to be.

I mean, he has the upper hand at the moment, but "regular rotation" is 9-10 guys.

This is a stacked roster.

Noah and Kam are likely competing for a role, however.
With the roster as it stands now I think you are underselling Williams and overselling Noah
just a bit A Williams/Chandler role battle seems more likely to me

No, I think he was saying Noah. If not, he couldn't be more wrong. Kam Williams will get all the minutes he wants.

On the Dioubate #s, LOL at all the pretend / wannabe scouts who shit on his signing. "He only averaged 7 ppg, blah, blah, blah." He might end up being the MOST important signing we get. Notice where the A's / A+'s are.

Dioubate and Quaintance, an absolutely FIERCE 4/5 combo. Something we haven't had in a decade.

Quite honestly both Noah and Perry got their minutes due to injuries and how little time Pope had to put together a roster for this past season. Both have been recruited over for next year. So I don’t expect many minutes for them. Noah maybe just a little more than Perry. But you never know about injuries.

Noah was taking minutes from Almonor this year. I don't know how Williams compares to Almonor, but he seems to be Almonor's replacement on the roster if your doing side by sides.

I think this thread is an indication of the potential of next years roster's overall
talent/depth. When you see it broken down individually it looks very good.

If JQ is healthy, the trio of MD, BG and JQ is extremely strong on defense.

You then add Oweh's versatility and defense at the 3, and you're looking at a team that is the polar opposite of what Kentucky rolled out for a lot of 2024-25.

I tend to think that early on, Lowe is going to be the key cog to how good this roster can be. And truthfully, I wonder if some of his efficiency numbers were under-exaggerated given he was asked to play 35 MPG at Pittsburgh. He won't do that at UK. He can reduce his PT by 20% and hopefully, cede a lot of the bad efficiency offense to other players who are more than capable of scoring.

I like Noah , just I like Perry but why not let them enjoy their ride at Kentucky regardless of how many minutes they will play.

They both of high bball IQ, great heart , they love Kentucky but their physical abilities will determine how many minutes they will play, unless we have again bunch of injuries.

Can Perry guard one on one , straight up anyone that’s decent at point or shooting guard or is liability there? I am afraid that he will never become a Tyler Ulis or Hawkins from defensive perspective . My hope that he will develop his offensive game enough so he can score more than he will give up on defensive end.

Noah biggest quality has been the energy he plays with , where he dives for the ball, gets rebounds and cuts hard. Shooting is okay . Ball handling is not as good so his moves towards basket are limited. If he plays a lot of minutes his energy will drop and then also what he does good.

I trust Pope will give them the minutes they deserve. As fan , let’s just enjoy having them on our roster.

He can be a game changer for sure. As with most players in any sport, it’s all about how much work they are willing to put in over the off season.

He showed he was not afraid of the situation, truly understood his role, and usually exhibited high basketball IQ. A year in the S&C and I could see him being sort of a Deron Feldhaus type contributor. Glad he is on the team.

Nope, I acknowledged Kam is likely ahead of Noah. They went and got Kam. But I also said they are likely competing for a similar role.
I think this is wrong completely. We will see. Kam is gonna be a regular part of the rotation and potentially one of the better gets in this class. We will see who is right.

Unless I’m reading you wrong you’re saying he won’t be part of the 9-10 regular guys. If im
Misunderstanding my Bad.
