It sounds like in the end Reeves couldn’t get enough credits to leave.
Bob Huggins got a DUI that allowed us to steal exactly the player we needed.

Did I know hugg would eff up.. no. But I was sure a big would see the dollar signs and the wide open position on an otherwise pretty loaded lineup and something would happen… but regardless, the coach has been on the cusp of basketball infamy .. and then Covid and a crap loss. Then a disappointing year… I can still not resort to hating our coach .. I can even question his coaching and I do.. stoops as well.

Is a pretty remarkable way to end the offseason.
7 scholarship players to 12, and you could argue the absolute worst/least-heralded player on the roster would be Hart, who was also being pursued by Indiana, UNC, Notre Dame, and Texas. That's pretty damn impressive for a 12th man.
You doubters are stupid if you think Cal didn't have this planned all along. Huggins has owed Cal a favor ever since knocking the 2010 team out in the Elite 8. Cal called in that favor and set this all in motion. Genius 4D chess move by the Don of La Familia.
Everyone knew Cal would go dig up some players, so stop acting like you knew anything. Other than freshmen, Reeves was having a hard time getting the credits to grad transfer and Huggins got a DUI. That's nothing to thump your chest about.
Easy killer. We have 7 Freshman, 2 sophomores and Reeves who seems to have failed escape. We don't have Mitchell yet and if we get him it's because Huggy got arrested. Not exactly Cow's roster building strategy.😄

This guy was on staff for Bob Huggins for several years- tweeted earlier about Kentucky and Mitchell and then just tweeted this. Sounds like it's done.
Not the plan, but they got on it and maybe lucked into some key players. Hopefully Bradshaw is good (as he says), and he is not playing us.

Huggin's DUI allowed this. If he doesn't drive drunk we are still hurting a bit.
As for Reeves, I don't think he wanted to come back.

1. Not the plan at all but adapting to some opportunity/luck coming into play is life.
2. You can tell some of our "fans" are mad about reeves returning and now this mitchell guy potentially coming here. They don't like the fact that the team may be good next season.

Where did anyone say this was the plan? Never seen such a group that always turns any positive news into a negative.
I'm not saying it's negative. We got very damn lucky, that's all I'm saying.
I don't say this lightly, it's the closest thing to a lock that exists in the college basketball recruiting world.

I don't care what you say, Cal didn’t make the right moves in the portal and assumed incorrectly on Livingston and Oscar. But he may get lucky here.
This was a very close call, but go ahead and use it as a fulcrum to call out those you don't agree with.
