We have 3 very talented linebackers ready to step in .That’s not even counting Square and Jones or the transfer from Michigan State .
Yeah , we weren’t “thin” enough for him to see the field at either position.
I heard that over 270 players have already entered the portal and the season just ended.
You have 85 guys on scholarship and only 22 - 40 probably get regular playing time. So 1/2 of a team’s roster probably thinks they should be playing!
Any special teams coaches in the portal?
KSR reporting WR Trayvion Robinson from VT Tech is in the Portal and might be landing in Lexington. High 4 Star rated number 17 athlete by rivals in the 2019 class.
Sweet! Did we recruit him out of high school? That name sounds familiar.
Looks like he was the leading receiver at VTech for the past two seasons, racking up 1500+ yards and 9 TD's, a freshman All-American in 2020. He is also an efficient punt returner. He's leaving because of the coaching change, not a lack of PT. This guy appears to be a stud.
If Wandale leaves, it looks like we may be replacing him with another Robinson who is similar in many ways.

Now 4 star safety Enzo Jennings appears to be in the portal. I remember we recruited him pretty hard a couple classes back and were among his finalists. Would be nice to get back in on him.

I imagine that most teams have a dedicated guy or guys that are monitoring the transfer portal.
It’s an interesting scenario. He’s the second leading rusher in the SEC but the staff wants to fully implement the wide zone running game and they feel there are backs on the roster (McClain,Drennen,Wright) who are a lot more suited to run it . Im curious to see how this plays out .
Wright & McClain are who the staff is excited about.
We have had a small sample, but I think McClain will be next starting RB

We don't need DT or OT transfers unless they are studs and those guys are going pro if they are that good.... We need the guys we got to just work hard this off season. Our dline is loaded with young guys with potential. Ox looked great early in the year. Ox, Rogers, Hayes and Rybka look like a solid group for the 2 down spots. Anaele and Gibson at the DE spot is enough if they both develop.
If we get a DE that would start that would be the only way I'd see taking a dl at this point.

Saunders looked good in limited opportunities. He’s going to be a monster!
Hate to see Tay go but if he must, I hope he lands in Lexington. He deserves to play for a OC that knows what the hell hes doing.
Hes a kick return threat and a decent reciever that might turn into a great reciever with some position coaching and a QB that can throw the damn ball. Hes a lefty and played QB some in HS so he is good for trick plays as well. He needs some work on his route running but a good OC can clean that up. He would be nice portal get. Nice young man from all accounts too.

UL used to get plenty of transfers that were kicked out but they find it harder to get kids that are in good standing.
Double dipping get 1 million from OSU in NIL deals, leaves after a year and get even more NIL money from one of his Hometown Schools.
Read somewhere the other day that he was planning to recruit players to the school he chooses. Doesn't lack confidence, that's for sure.

Cant imagine there is any interest in Yeast after all the drama during his original recruitment. Sometimes people just don't pick you and then come back but that was just toxic.
He didn't get 1 mil from OSU. He signed. 3-4 year 1.5 mil contract with a local Texas Kombucha company. Texas HS don't allow NIL so he skipped his senior year. He knew he had 1-2 more years to be the starter
