Transfers

- CB for sure...especially with the potential loss of JUCO DB.
- Jack Lber, as always.
- DE....Analee looks like a bust and we need more that Rybka
- If we lose Rosental, maybe a tackle

In this new age, just go fill your depth chart as best you can. There is no reason to depend solely on your kids develeping and take a chance they are not ready.

Things like this are why it would be a good reason to check out HOB if you never have and can afford to do so.

Anaele has an injury, it's patently ridiculous and unfair to label him a bust.

Do agree re Rybka. Need something out of Gibson and Dinkins and Saunders. Young DL need to step it up.

Wait a minute! You saying that you wouldn't take this guy right here?

I'm glad you have nothing to do with the program. I'll take a 5 star player any day of the week.
i remember something negative about him when he was in high school
i do not think it was anything major

with that said i would take him in a heartbeat

The kid had some sort of major issues. I don't remember all the reports but got suspended from the Texas state playoffs. There were several red flags that came up in his recruitment. He signed with UGA though he seemed to be a silent to A&M. After announcing he signed at the January high school all-star game, he immediately asked for his release. I thought he was the starting RB, which they lost their coach, but now is quitting during the season. A lot of questions would need to be addressed before taking him as a transfer

Kid has reportedly really matured since high school.

If we get Zachary Evans, that means CROD declares for the draft, and I don't think that's a good idea for him or Smoke or someone else or multiple transfer because there'll be a logjam at RB if Evans comes here.

If you can get somebody like this you take him. CRod isn't dependable, Smoke isn't SEC quality.

I read a few things on Evans. He is their leading rusher, but has been out hurt. Rumors swirling due to him deleting TCU off his IG, but he doesn't appear to be in the portal. The article a few hours ago listed him as out for tonight injured, been in walking boot

Not saying anything one way or the here, but he reportedly is in the portal.

heard Matt Jones tease that on the postgame show last night, would be a great get, but it's pretty obvious we need secondary help, probably should target at least 3 secondary players

You take the best players and let the chips fall where they may. He’s an Elite level talent that we don’t typically sign here. If he wants in you take him.

We're about to lose a guy I was excited about in DeCarlos Nicholson to Ole Miss as well.

This 3 game skid is going to bite us in the ass.

He was gone before that. He committed the day after the LSU win and was clearly an emotional commit. He was never going to stick. Besides, he just converted from QB. He won’t be much help next year anyway.

Smoke is clearly a SEC quality back however he doesn't seem to be a #1 back. He's had durability issues. To me he looks the part of a 3rd down back who can also relieve the starter.
What has Smoke shown to be "clearly a SEC quality back"?

- Does he run thru tackles? I've never seen him do it more than 1-2 an entire game.
- Does he have game breaking speed?
- Does he have moves/wiggle like Boom did?
- Does he do really good staff catching the ball out of the backfield?
- He's been available all year so far for first time in his career....but does anyone feel good with 18 carries a game over 12 game season?

I can live with him as back up RB but I want no part of him being feature back.

He has 1,100 yards and 10 TDs and is averaging 5.7 ypc. That's absolutely SEC quality. No he doesn't have Boom's explosiveness, but then again does any back currently in the SEC have that?

I also stated he's clearly not a #1 back because of his durability. He is however a very good backup.
