'Tis the season UofL edition

100% of your fanbase predicted y’all beating Vanderbilt last year, was that being delusional?
And there have been rare occasions when 30 point underdogs upset teams.

But don't be holding your breath this year.

If I remember correctly last year the consensus on here was 9 or 10 wins for you guys. I’d rather be an optimist than a pessimist. When throwing stones one should always look into the mirror first.
The trouble with your mirror is your fans threw rocks and broke it when it told them the truth.

The offensive line breaking hard from its normal high-level play and the OC crapping the bed were two casualties a lot of fans didn't forsee. Likewise, UofL beating Kentucky would be a break from the norm that a lot of UofL fans CAN somehow foresee.

(All in good fun. The dog days of summer board is dull and by God, we need CFB back.)

Like you said, rocky, hope springs eternal in the off-season. This'll get settled between the goal posts this fall.

The dog days of summer is when we used to start fall football practice, and boy it was a bitch.

I puked a few times during conditioning and once during Oklahoma drills. Not sure my kidneys ever recovered from dog days dehydration.

I hope you got over being a tiny person, especially if you played football, but then I am sure you did. But then everyone has a place in life.

I agree, I don't care how they finish as long as we beat them handily, in fact we look better the better they play. I hope you are right and he is wrong about our record, I already have bets on us being over 7 wins on the season., I am very confident, but I don't like the even number bets since you lose ties.
Only thing tiny on me since I was 12 is my nose. lol
I do not do the betting thing (just not my thing) no judgement. So I am not vested in that part. I hope you make bank. If i were to be I would bet the over as well. I just look at all the tangibles and see a QB that has tons of experience and besides injuries that experience is awesome. I see enough talent in the RB room to make up for the loss of CROD. I see our receivers as one of the best groups in the SEC (at least on the 2 deep), I see a tight end room that I would put up against anyone (including UGA), I see talent at OLINE (with Transfers a much better year on the line). Then I see Cohen (enough said there). Defense I see a DLINE that is as good as any in the NATION (Yes I said it). I see 3 good possibilities at EDGE and see them getting loose in the backfield. I see some really good linebackers (Wallace is very special and should show out this year) and I see our DBACKS as a great group. Add White and stoops to that and enough said there. Then we now have a special teams coordinator (and a great one). We have a very good kicker and I think we will see some good punting (when we have to punt lol).

Of course everyone has guys get hurt every year, but lets hope we do not have any major injuries. That is the big thing that can hurt.

I said 10-2 or so. I am sticking with it. I might adjust if our oline is as porous as it was last year. GO BIG BLUE !!!!!!!!!!

I still say Louisville will go 7-5 or 8-4 with losses to NC State, ND, Miami and Kentucky. With a possible loss to Pittsburgh. Louisville`s offense will be good, but has little depth, especially on the line, but we are in the same discussion. The difference is our receivers and tight ends are better than theirs.
Defensively, I have to see Louisville stop someone before I believe they`ve improved there. They were a sack specialist during the season, but only got 1 during our game, with us having a bad offensive line. We`ll be a top 10 defensive team, this coming season and possibly a top 25 offensive team and that`s a combination for success. Our defensive line is 3 deep with little drop-off and we possibly have an all American at defensive tackle.
Rivalry games are fun and I hope we can keep ours going, even if we go to a 9 game SEC schedule. I just wish we could have fun banter back and forth without name calling and banning, but that will never happen, unfortunately. Although more people get banned over there than here.

Pst, everyone knows drinking pickle juice is the antidote to August heat & football drills

I like how Louisville fans, on their rival site, are making fun of UK football. I guess they haven`t paid attention to our past 5 games. They are still calling us a bottom feeder with no idea what it`s like playing in the SEC. A 6th or 7th place SEC team would probably be a 2nd place ACC team. They really need to stop bashing us, until they beat us, because if we`re as bad as they say, then how bad are they? Of course, it wasn`t due to us being better, it was all on coaching. I can`t wait until we play them.
