AND thanks to the other SEC schools that pushed the MONEY COW, one thing for sure UKs FIVE years in a row without a bowl game did nothing to help the flood of money from the OTHER SEC schools that did support football. Neither did the loss of 15 to 20 thousand season ticket holders AND a lot of their donations.
It takes MONEY to run a successful football program, and the NON-revenue sports aren't where its at. Can you come up with a wild guess at how much money football lost with losing all those season ticket holders AND their donations, not to mention the FIVE years in a row without a bowl game. The OTHER SEC football programs rescued us.

Hard to appreciate an AD that had ZERO improvements for football facilities for a full decade, while the rest of the SEC was loading up for the money cow. We saw the predictable results of that stupidity. Even the nearby city school recruits were making fun of UKs football facilities. And I have been a UK football since I was 6 years old 79 years ago, including a LOT of mediocre (being kind) seasons.

Bull, we don't have better or comparable talent than other teams in the East except Mizzo, and Vandy. In the West we're similar to Ark and Miss St, everyone else out recruits us. If you don't believe it do a little research, the facts are there.

And yes, I have an agenda, I want to give credit where credit is due and blame where blame is due, and NO improvements for football for his first DECADE of our ADs time on the job was the direct cause of UK becoming the worst football program in the SEC, worse than even Vandy, that still has a little over 40,000 seat stadium. The only SEC school with less seating than UK after our seating was downsized from 67,000 (after UK averaged capacity with a team that finished with a losing record in the SEC) to 61,000.
