** Cornerback Jeremiah Collins decommitted from Louisville this week. He has transferred and is attending Oakland HS in Tennessee. I can tell you that Kentucky is still interested, but he did not decommit because he's got something lined up with UK. That means I would be expecting something about Kentucky and Collins to arise (unless things are quietly farther along with another school and that's why he decommitted) soon, as he was open with me about his willingness/desire to visit Kentucky back in the spring when he was committed to UofL.

** Four-star LB Jaden Robinson is down to Kentucky, Michigan, South Carolina, and Maryland. He OV'ed UK, Maryland, and South Carolina this month. UK was sandwiched between Maryland and South Carolina. When I asked him about the difference between UK and Maryland visits he said that UK was more player led and I sensed they were in good shape, but remember, Maryland punches above its weight in recruiting at times. Not as sure about where UK stands relative to South Carolina and Michigan, the latter being an official he would like to take during the season ... but he could make an announcement before then. We shall see.

** Ja'Keem Jackson is a four-star corner with UK in his top six. Chris Collins really seems to like this guy. Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Auburn, and Penn State are the schools in play. I know he's supposed to be related to a player for Auburn from about a decade ago who attended the same high school but no clue if that is a relationship that will factor in here at all.

** Four-star WR Anthony Brown is announcing his decision later this month instead of waiting until the fall. That is a good sign for Kentucky but I would caution that I have never sensed this is 100% over and done with. In fact, I think Cincinnati probably surged into the lead after his official visit there early in the month. However, I did hear some chatter that Kentucky probably found itself in a much better place after his OV to Lexington, where he spent a lot of time with Cristian Conyer apparently. Michigan, Oklahoma, and Penn State are the other finalists for Brown but it sure seems like UK/UC and I will err with UK. Made my FutureCast back in late March and as of now, do not anticipate changing it.

** Speaking of Conyer, once again, happy I have not changed the pick from Kentucky but again, would not rule out twists and turns down the stretch. With some of these updates I feel like I'm just reiterating the last update but when time is winding down, I'll do that rather than just not address it.

** Four-star Indianapolis Cathedral defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert announced a top four of LSU, Kentucky, Purdue, and Iowa. Wrote about him yesterday. I'd give Kentucky as good a chance as any other school there.

Just tried to hit on some of the guys most prominent in recruiting news right now as most are likely to make decisions sooner rather than later.
