THON MAKER – Athlete Institute (Orangeville, Ontario, Canada); 2016 PF; 7’-0”; 205 lbs; 5-Star; 247Sports rank #10; Strong Arizona State lean at this point – Athlete Institute played only 2 games and Thon played 2 totally different games. In the 1st game he shot only 2 of 11 (0 for 4 from the 3), totaling 9 points. On the plus side, he had 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 blocks. In the 2nd game he shot 11 of 16, including 2 of 6 from the 3, for 31 points. Also had 11 rebounds, 5 turnovers, and 4 steals. He is still very thin, but has gained some weight since last season. (The tournament program lists him at 223 lbs.) He likes to play outside the 3-point line. He brought the ball up court with some nice ball-handling moves. Led the fast break (remember, he’s 7’), and make some nice passes.
