You can say Pitinos Bombinos in the late 80s early 90s but those teams simply didnt have the talent level, the experience nor the depth that this one has.
Its going to be a fun season bbn.

96 had infinitely more talent. That doesn’t mean this team won’t be special, but that team is the GOAT of college ball.
I will say, last night was the most fun I’ve had watching a team in probably 10 years. At least since Fox and Monk
Come on guys I never mentioned the mid to late 90s teams because they did have the talent, they did have the depth and the experience.Agree... I like this team, but those teams in the mid-late 90s were loaded with talent.
Both things can be true.
Come on guys I never mentioned the mid to late 90z teams because they did have the talent, they did have the depth and the experience.
One thing they didnt do was rely in the three like this one appears to do.
Dont get me wring this team has low post presence too but not like those mid to late 90s teams did.
Also, any official exhibition # on all time UK slaughters? 71 has to be in the top 5.
Didn't get a chance to watch, gonna try and find a replay to watch. Anyone got a good link for it?
For me just the fact that we actually move the ball and move players in a real offense is heaven. You can say Pitinos Bombinos in the late 80s early 90s but those teams simply didnt have the talent level, the experience nor the depth that this one has.

Any team with Mashburn on it is automatically batter than this year. You can say Pitinos Bombinos in the late 80s early 90s but those teams simply didnt have the talent level, the experience nor the depth that this one has.

The truly frightening things for future UK opponents is two fold:For me just the fact that we actually move the ball and move players in a real offense is heaven.
False-def not 1991 and the jury is still out on 92 and 93.Any team with Mashburn on it is automatically batter than this year.
Butler is 100% our starting point guard. Kriisa will get lots of minutes as a reserve. The truly frightening things for future UK opponents in two fold:
A. This was the 1st time all these guys played together for the 1st time v an actual opponent and;
B. Krissa our PG didnt even play.
Let’s table this til after the Duke game. Give them a chance to show where they are against better athletes. If we dismantle them with superior execution, the sky’s the limit.False-def not 1991 and the jury is still out on 92 and 93.
Guys, dont get me started on this team.
Please.
This. Even Kriisa says this.Butler is 100% our starting point guard. Kriisa will get lots of minutes as a reserve.
Far enough and I whole heartedly concur.Let’s table this til after the Duke game. Give them a chance to show where they are against better athletes. If we dismantle them with superior execution, the sky’s the limit.
My goodness, this team is 12 deep! This. Even Kriisa says this.
All I could think about, was how it would be 62-48 in the 2nd, with Calipari. With tons of mid range J's and 2-3 threes. That is the first game I have watched live in I can’t tell you how long. What a treat it was. I despised the previous administrator as you knew what you were getting with him every game. Can’t wait till next week.
For reference and general interest, here is a three-point history and other selected stats over the past thirty-five (35) years, including a summary by each coach:You can say Pitinos Bombinos in the late 80s early 90s but those teams simply didnt have the talent level, the experience nor the depth that this one has.
Its going to be a fun season bbn.
