Alexander (who is a top 30 4 star)
Baker 4 star

It's the greatest of all time bar none.

We will be preseason #1.

Oh, how soon folks forget that a few short years ago Cal and his staff signed the twins, Randle, Young, Johnson and Lee.
And randle was the only one in that group that amounted to anything on an NBA level. (I know they made it to the championship game) Andrew staring to get it together. That class was overrated clearly. So while normally I think kwilt wears the blue blinders, I think he's correct about this class. It has the potential to be the best ever. This group won't lose 10 games.

I'm in wait and see mode. This team can go anywhere between a two to eight seed as of now because of all the unknowns. This offseason is similar to 12-13 and 13-14. However this season will be better than 12-13 because I don't expect the rarity that is a season ending injury and Green I expect will be better than Harrow.

As for 13-14 our schedule this year, although tough, isn't as tough as theirs was. That team was slightly overrated until the tournament, and this years team is a wait to be seen on that factor.

I fear the expectations on this group may be a bit high. The truth is, it is easily this year's best collection of freshmen in the country. But this year's overall class was relatively weak. And we have seen the best classes in some of the best years not win titles. This group will take its lumps, but will be very fun to watch and will win a lot of games.
It won't win a title. I don't mean that as a slight, but I just don't think it should be burden with such expectations.

I agree, I'm most interested in seeing how these guys develop for what I expect will be a monster team in 18-19. Only knox and diallo are for sure gone and maybe one more player will leave, but most these guys will be back to go along with a few more five star recruits.

Pretty sure SGA is a 5 star now and Green fell to a 4 star, if I'm not mistaken. Hey, @Aike help a fellow Cat fan out here. Haha.

The key factors about this class is they all seem to have very high basketball IQs, all play with high motors, they're versatile and most of them can play three positions or more (defensively and offensively). I'll also add that they're all very skilled. There's not really any glaring holes in any of their games'. JMO.

Still trying to pretend to be a UK fan huh? Not buying it after the truth came out on you.

If we're being real. All those kids were overrated but Randle. These guys are legit ballers. I'd take Green over Andrew. Hami Over Aaron. Knox over Young. PJ no, but PJ could give us close to the production Randall did in different ways. PJ's a better shooter, and ball handler no doubt. He'll shoot a much higher % from 3. Randle gave us what ? 16 and 10 ? I could see PJ at 12 and 8, plus an ast or 2 or something. There's really nobody to compare Vanderbilt to. LOL I mean he's better than Lee. LMAO. This class is MUCH better all the way around. No arguing. WAY more talent. We have probably at least 5 lotto picks in Hami, Knox, PJ, Vanderbilt, and Richards. Richards may have to wait til 19, but he may not either. Kid's got the skill. Then who knows ??? Its possible by 19 or maybe even this coming draft one of Green, Gabriel, SKJ, and Shai will be maybe ? a lotto or a a mid ish-late 1st. But my guess is Hami, Knox, PJ, Vanderbilt are lotto picks after this year. Richards in 19. Then Green, Shai, Gabriel, and SKJ all go from the mid 1st to somewhere in the 2nd. JMO. Gabriel will go earlier than he should no matter what based on upside. I think SKJ will end up being a stud, I think Green and Shai will both be VERY good. With Shai. I can just see the skillset when I watch him to make me think he has the talent to be a top 15 pick onw day.

People Tend to forget how Young hurt us so many times turning the ball over, and yes I know the twins led us to two FF's, but they still underachieved greatly. Dakari left too early. Lee was just a freak athlete who caught lobs and tip slams. Hami, Knox, PJ, Vanderbilt, and Richards definitely, but maybe also 1-2 of Green, Shai, Gabriel, and SKJ will all be better NBA players than any of these guys. And hell. Honestly after 3-4 years of getting better and better Baker should get drafted late 1st-2nd and be a better NBA player than Andrew, Aaron or Young. LOL.

This team can be special.

I thought the Wall/Cousins/Bledsoe/Orton group was supposed to be greatest of all time. Or, wait, was it the Davis/MKG/Wiltjer/Teague group? Or possibly the Harrison twins/Randle/Lee/Dakari/Young group ..or maybe the KAT/Lyles/Booker/Ulis bunch?

I don't know ..we've had so many "the greatest of all time" recruiting classes in recent years that it's hard to keep track of them all.

Don't be counting those chickens before they hatch.

Remember 2014 was the season that began with all sorts of squawking about going 40-0. They instead ended up as an 8 seed with 11 losses.

And I'm sure y'all would've been LMAO!!--ing if someone had suggested before the season that the 2013 team (ranked in the Top 3 pre-season) could fail to make the tourney and lose their NIT first rounder to Robert Morris--but that is what happened.

I certainly don't think this team will struggle like those teams, but you never know for sure with a group this inexperienced.

Personally I believe this team is much more likely to end up being a 1 or 2 seed than a 7 or 8... but that's me. I'm a no excuses, pure bleed blue Cats fan ya know.

Not with the 8 seed crowd at all but not with the crowning them the best class all time either. We need to wait to see what they actually do on the floor before giving such incredible expectations. I'm basing this mostly on the fact we are so inexperienced this season and have no proven upper class leader on the team. We've had some fantastic freshman classes come through to compare to but I'll wait to see them actually play before making comparisons. Love to see them come home with #9 this season but think they are going to take some lumps early on and even in SEC play where the conference should be much stronger this year. By March, this group could really be coming around and that's what I'm hoping for.

This being a weak class is bit misleading virtually every analyst and the NBA draft boards say this class lacks the star power 1 thru 7. But it's a very deep class with not much drop off from 8 to 30 guys like Vanderbilt who was top 5 til he got hurt and he played hurt last summer so they dropped him in the rankings. He comes back healthy for the all Star game and his shot is improved basically a better player than he was when he was top 5. Even Myers said he would be top 10 in his final rankings but surprisingly wasn't moved him to the top 15 which was more of a testament to who do you move down instead of moving him up. But it's also a down year in college basketball

No one has said it, but i believe this team has the best shot at bringing #9 home as any team since 12. Im not saying 40-0 or anything but I fully expect to see this team win the title
.

I think I will just wait until the season is over and see how it all pans out. If they bring home #9 then we can talk about it.

We won't be pre season number 1, that'll go to either Arizona or Michigan State and rightfully so imo. I think we should start out ranked around 5th-7th.

Love the positive attitude ...........
Ehhhh, Kwilt is a machine built by a crazy UK fan that went haywire. The machine is very unrealistic and has us winning every Year, every game, always the greatest recruiting class every year. Yeah the machine is kinda our mascot.

I don't like being preseason #1 or even top 5 because of the youth of our teams for the past few years. I know it's a status symbol but, IMO, all it does is give the players a bigger let down WHEN they get their first L. I'd like to see us at #8-10, then of course be numero uno at the end of the year.
