I’m not sure why scouts don’t consider him to be much of an NBA prospect. He sure looks like one to me.

If he keeps shooting like he did yesterday, he's NBA for sure. Unfortunately that seems unlikely, but who knows.
The big takeaway I took from what he said was "gave us". Pope is one of us. And was from day one.
I can’t wait til he tears Zakai Zieglar from Tennessee a new a$$.
I doubt any UK player has ever scored 33 or more while not missing a shot from the field.

Does anyone else see a little Chris Paul in his game?
He’s a beast getting in the lane and a hell of a defender and his shot isn’t broke. He may not have shot it well over his career, but he looks great this year and his shot isn’t broke, it’s smooth. I think the league should give him a shot but he will be an overseas pro at the very worst for many years I’d say.
I haven’t seen him hit anybody’s junk
Ziegler is a hell of a PG in his own right. I hope he does but he’s a great defender as well.
Yeah he’s a strong guard that plays kinda like he did, very good passer in the lane and finds cutting guys very well in the pocket.
Don’t know how many Sky Walker had but he was 11 for 11 one game in 1986.
I think on the radio they said there were only two people who had scored more than Butler with no misses. Walker like you pointed out and I think they said Minifeld was the other.
Justin Edwards also had a very similar game last year against Bama, finishing with 28 points.
The last UK guard that could drive and finish like him was De'Aaron Fox. Might even only be 2nd to John Wall in that category. At least in the last 25 years. He's that good at it.
The game everyone finally thought he got it and we had a complete team. Typical Calipari illusion because he never played like that again and we couldn’t guard a garden hose basking in the sunlight.
Maybe Briscoe but he wasn’t the full time PG. still played like it. They have similar styles but Butler shoots better.
Nope … helluva game, but you’re right … nothing close to it the rest of the way.
Butler reminds me a little bit of a cross between Briscoe and Ulis, with a pinch of Mintz’ grit and tenacity. Butler’s fabulous !!

Lamont Butler was awesome. Looked so smooth and his follow through was perfect. Never rushed. Even though he was off a few games it sure looked like he had been shooting 3s. Just get that ft stroke in the same gear.
I thought so from the beginning, strong defender, quick with the ball, great penetrator and distributor and a streaky shooter. And strong to the hole looking for contact. Mirror image of Chris Paul minus his NBA whining
