Thiero

That’s not even true though. Who told you that? Are you a doctor? Also, what difference does it make? He’s injured. That’s it
Spasms alone don’t keep anyone out for 3 weeks. Anyone who has dealt with spasms can tell you that. There is something else at play. You don’t have to be a doctor, just have some experience with what is going on.

Again, it's the same as the other poster. Calipari has never been forthcoming with injury reports.

The difference between me and you is that you make up stories to fill in the details where I prefer to work from known facts.

I'm just speculating. For the 10th time, I'm not saying I know the details, and I could be wrong. I take the info at hand and try and figure out what's going on. I make educated guesses based on this.

You however, seem to think you DO have all the details and this is perfectly fine. I'm just asking some questions.

Lie. False.

Back spasms can last for more than 3 weeks. ****ing Google it

I have no idea if he had back spasms Saturday. lol.

Let me guess, you know though despite not knowing?

He was jumping up an down. I'm very confident that during this time, he wasn't experiencing any back spasms lol.

Boy, obtuse isn't even strong enough of a word for some of you. Learn context. Learn how to evaluate things.

Im fairly confident you all don't know what obtuse means.

What I'm calling out, to be perfectly clear, is how apt some of you are to gravitate to conspiracy theories that lack any evidence. Some how it's part of your agenda to indicate injuries are a symptom of a much greater problem.

But the reality is this. Theiro is injured and it's day to day.

That's it. Have fun

Here's another side.. if the doctors don't think he needs surgery (as of now), and that these back spasms can hApPeN AnY tImE!

.. then why not play him? If they can happen for something as simple as bending over to scratch your ass.. then what point is there to hold him out at the 4 week mark?

Don’t have too. I’ve had them. If spasms keep persisting then there are other issues causing the spasm which is what everyone is trying to get through your thick ass skull.

I don't think anyone is making this into a conspiracy.

I just think Cal is being too cautious with players. That's really my point here.

lol......

So are you comparing your body to a 6'8 college basketball player? You don't see any logical problem with that.

Just stop. You can't win. Stop.

I mean, my comparison to Chandler Parsons is fitting here, He's the same size and at the time of his spasms, had FAR more basketball mileage on him, not to mention he was an 8-figure asset making 10's of million a year, worth protecting.

And yet, I still won't assume his spasms are the same as Adou's. Maybe Adou's are worse, I have no idea.

lol. I just can't. Like how do you explain to someone that a range of conditions means that injuries, severity and specifics make two people's ailments totally different? What happened to Chandler ****ing Parsons makes no difference to Adou THIERO.

This is like arguing that someone is not a murderer because someone else got off the hook.

Like, if we can't even establish that truth, it's not worth trying

I DID kind of say that after. You tried to say how a basketball players back spasms at 6'8 isnt the same as our back spasms.. so I found it a little humorous that the example I used, well before you got into this conversation, was that of a basktetball player's back spasms, who IS the same height as Thiero.

I guess we will have to wait and see. But I'll make some predictions now, and we can revisit.

1. Thiero is out at least another week and we're pushing 5 weeks.
2. When he comes back, there will be no minute restrictions and he will play fine.
3. This isn't the last time we will see another player held out extra long. I bet within a year.

Unfortunately for you, Adou THIERO's back doesn't give two ****s what you define as "extra long", doc

Well that's a double edged sword. Don't expect the fans to support someone who isn't "healthy enough" to play, yet is fine jumping up and down on the sidelines. We're getting close to the end of this, before fans will start to turn annoyed seeing him on the sidelines while we lose games because we desperately need rebounding and defense.

And if Cal loses games, and if he losses BIG games come tournament time, because he's being too protective of players.. then he won't have a job here much longer, and then we will get a coach he DOES value wins.

I'd say Cal needs a Final4 this year, at minimum. If he misses that because he was worried about a player having sporadic back spasms, that's going to be a problem.

So keep that same "I don't give two shits" energy when the fans sour on the team and coach this year.

The anatomy of an awful RR take in this post.

Make claim the injury is fabricated based off anectdotal evidence. Check.

I have no experience in spasms or growth spurts, but I feel it may be his muscles catching up with his growth (growing pains).

Dang. We can't have one good conversation on here without some hipaa jackass hijacking it.

And that's fine.. most of the time.

But he's not getting paid to be a players-first coach. He's being paid to win games. Now most of the time, those can, and do, go hand in hand. He puts the players first, so we get the recruits and the recruits help him win games.

But sometimes it conflicts. It's not like Adou has a Concussion or is coming back off a knee injury. It's back spasms, and it's been 3+ weeks. Unless he's actually not able to play, I think you have to think about playing him next game to see how he does.
He absolutely is getting paid to be a players first coach. He told UK that when he was hired and everyday since.

And that is why I have said all along it’s time for Cal to move on.

Even though I’m a Cal fan.

UK should have a program first coach. Even if he’s not as good as Cal.

You're continuing to confuse the difference between an injury that DID happen, with an injury that is STILL happening, that's why I put "Healthy enough" in quotes.

The funniest thing about this, is that i routinely DEFEND Cal. This is just one of the areas I don't agree with him with. You can see it in this very thread, people aren't happy about how he treats injuries, the only ones defending him are that sociopath Goherd, and various other "Cal is never wrong" posters we have here.

I don't know what else to say, if you think fans would be happy with this situation, you're just flat out wrong, or don't follow other sports.

I've been slowly thinking it's time, for a little while now. It's just a different game. We don't need players protected and favored any more than they already are un 2023. They have NIL now.

We need a system coach who has an offense and philosophy that makes players want to come here.

Also, Theiro has no draft stock, geniuses, and holding him out does zero for his draft stock. In fact, it makes it less likely he’s drafted.

And I know doctors aren’t popular to some types of people, but I’m going to go out on a radical limb and say doctors have recommended not playing. Radical I know.
It happens to us every year, genius.

Circles.

Ah, figures. This is about Calipari. It's all a gotcha to get Calipari.

Rent free

I don’t have to “google it”. Something else seems to be the issue. But you are the expert Dr Google.
The same guy who said Calipari to Texas is a done deal and that Travis Perry will never play at Kentucky is chiming in. Hold your butts
