RB Antwan Roberts (Wisconsin transfer) - I'm not 100% sure of where Kentucky stands on this guy. It came as something of a surprise that he is down to Kentucky and Georgia Tech. But it would make a lot of sense given John Settle's history with him at Wisconsin. I'm not prepared to say this is something that will happen but I think it's a possibility. I did connect with him today and he confirmed that he is down to UK and GT. Georgia Tech just lost its running backs coach but the appeal of the Yellow Jackets would mostly be about opportunity anyway. Kentucky can't offer that immediate playing time but the Settle connection seems significant.
RB Jawaun Northington (Louisville, Ky.) - This has been a wait and see with the staff keeping the situation warm. It has been possible and with so many moving parts you could imagine something happening after the early signing period. He seems willing to wait and the fact he hasn't committed somewhere else by now tells us that he thinks a Kentucky offer has been a real possibility.
WR Jacob Copeland (Florida transfer) - He has been mentioned a number of other times can confirm he's someone you should know about but both Travis and I have heard that there is some question about how many credits would transfer and that is TBD for now. Travis seems to think it's Kentucky vs Maryland with UK having the upper hand there if there were no variables but there are variables so we shall see.
WR Tayvion Robinson (Virginia Tech transfer) - He told me he will announce on Wednesday. I did speak with him. Very impressive kid. Can tell he's super mature and level headed. I can tell you that Wan'Dale Robinson was his host for the weekend and that relationship seems to be very good.
OL Jalen Farmer (Florida commit) - From what I've heard it sounds like the official visit went very well and Kentucky has a great chance at a flip. Wolford having that longer relationship recruiting him has positioned UK in much the same way as the Trevin Wallace situation that went down last year.
OL Brendan Bordner (Rutgers transfer) - After some conversations this situation remains in the "TBD" zone. Not ruling him out but I don't think a final decision has been made. Remember the main reason for Kentucky's interest seems to be obvious: They need tackles who have played tackle at the Power Five level before. If Rosenthal leaves then they have basically none of that. I don't want to assume that they would only bring Bordner in if they think Rosenthal is leaving because even if he returns they still don't have much experience at tackle. This situation just hinges more on numbers and bigger picture calculations than some of the others here.
OL Kiyaunta Goodwin (Kentucky commitment) - I think this is definitely something to watch down the stretch. My prediction is that in the end five plus years of being recruited by Kentucky and being such a recruiter for UK would make it hard for him to end up anywhere else and Marrow is not going to rest in trying to lock him down. He has a good track record in situations like that. But it seems people think he really does like what Michigan State is offering and maybe other schools are in it too. I would still guess UK but I'm not against a bit of uncertainty here.
DL Deone Walker (Detroit, Mich.) - Have liked where Kentucky stands for some time. Had a pick in for a while, thought about flipping it but didn't and glad I didn't. Michigan is going to be coming strong all the way until Wednesday but as I've said for a while now, I wouldn't want to trade places with anybody if I were you.
EDGE Khris Bogle (Florida transfer) - Right around the time this guy's name popped up in the portal I heard it was something that would be of real interest to Kentucky. Apparently I was not the only one as a Florida-centric analyst elsewhere tweeted the same thing shortly after that. I did start to wonder if it had moved in another direction when things were really quiet for a while but with him going through with the official and the optimism now I have to feel like Kentucky stands a great chance to end up with Bogle in blue and white.
DB Zah Frazier (JUCO) - Hearing Kentucky stands a great chance to add the 6'4 defensive back. He has not told me where he is going and he told me that he is going quiet before Wednesday and does not want to go on the record before then. Fairly standard. Chris Collins has known about this guy for a long time so would know what he's getting. UK, Mississippi State, UTSA, Utah are the official finalists.
DB De'Carlos Nicholson - Nothing concrete to go on after his official visit to MSU but the widespread thinking was that if he went to Starkville for the OV then a flip to the Bulldogs would be the most likely outcome. Getting that visit on the last weekend does not always mean a school is going to win out but you see the hype around UK's huge visit weekend and that was for a reason. MSU getting him this weekend was big. Remember he was committed there for a while already.
There are more offensive players listed here than defensive players. That does not mean that Kentucky is done adding defensive players to next year's roster. There are slots that could be used for defensive players that might become available. Still a lot of time to play the portal game.
Remember that here at the end of the process guys tend to get very quiet. Many sources as well. It's viewed as a very delicate time and the last thing you want would be anything to create doubts at the last minute.
