So, you are saying that had you been Barnhart, and had you made Stoops the ninth highest paid Coach in the US, you would have had no harsh feelings . . . no sense of betrayal . . . that he accepted the aTm job, until either the Aggie fan revolt (or his assistant’s) revolt?
If so, you have a thicker skin than most!!
My original post does not allude to whether Stoops breached his contract by speaking to aTm. I am an attorney, and understand that basic legality, having drafted (in many other fields) contracts, including employment contracts.
Again, a subject for another thread.
I’ll repeat my original assertion: Barnhart’s (now lengthier) silence is telling. Stoops didn’t entirely burn his bridge with Barnhart, but his AD has been very silent, even as Stoops, KSR and Marrow are issuing statements of resolution.
Typically AD’s join the chorus in support of an embattled Coach . . . and the clock on Barnhart’s silence keeps ticking . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
