Just wanted to throw some praise to the big fella. He looks like a leader out there this year. Not just a big guy lurking in the shadows and throwing in some hellacious dunks and blocks, but a leader. Pointing guys in the right direction, positioning better than he has in the past, and playing with purpose.

Not that you are reading this big guy, but if you are, know that we recognize and appreciate your play this year. Keep it up!

No points last night but lots of rebounds and decent defense. Cal's upset with his, Briscoe's , and LaBissere's free throws. If he can make FT's he will be much more rounded.

I love Marcus. Was big on him last year even though he couldn't get many minutes . Hope he averages 10 and 10 .

Totally agree he is my favorite this season, although Ulis is a close second. I was in Indy when he had the breakout against Michigan and have been in his camp ever since...add to that he didn't complain or fuss sitting on the bench the past two seasons playing limited minutes when he could have transferred and been a starter.

I'll get in this thread. Have been critical of Marcus but he has played very well so far. Under control and with confidence.

He's at his most effective offensively on putback dunks and lobs. I hope we can see more of both. One is more up to him, the other is dependent on guards being aware of lob opportunities.

Yeah I was in Indy for that crazy first half too. Special memories , my daughters first UK game

Time for some Marcus Lee gifs.

Personally I'm a fan of his knack for flying in out of nowhere for a block or a rebound

This is an excellent point and one that should not be ignored. He has had his ups and downs, been in and out of games...some not even logging any minutes. From all I've seen, heard and read, I've not yet heard about him complaining or getting a bad attitude. In fact, he's one of the biggest cheerleaders on the bench and always seems to have a smile. Just a good kid all the way around.
