Agree. I'not sure a team today could have beaten the teams tht lost to the Bulls....much less the Bulls themselves. Those teams were mean,man. Tough. Physical. Now, with that being said, a lot would depend on the rules the games were played under. If played with the 80's and 90;s? No chance. Todays rules, though? Meh....it'd make it more interesting.
I don't care about Jordan as a person. I don't care about any star, athlete, actor or otherwise as a person. I care about the people in my circle when I judge personality. I don't pay to watch them be good people and neither do any of you. We pay them and they are idolized because of their craft. And Jordan was as good at his craft as anyone ever has been. All of his peers, including Magic and Bird say that. Bobby Knight, who people seem to love but was/is the biggest dick sports has ever seen, said MJ was the best basketball player he had ever seen. I don't know why people insist on finding flaws in people like this instead of appreciating the talents that make them the star they are. Insecurity I guess.
Warriors would beat them all. Not enough speed at the five positions to guard all the spacing today. Bill Wennington and Cartwright and Paxson were too big a part of those teams. Mean and tough only worked back then because the only goal was to drive or post up. Bulls couldn't keep up with all the 3s, let alone Pistons, Knicks, Jazz.
NBA is watered down and the college game is watered down and the NBA wants both EVEN MORE watered down by propping up the friggin' G league.
There have been some great playoff series happening in today’s league today . Not sure how this doc proves the league is watered down . Hell in the 90s the Bulls won most of the titles . Not like other teams were winning too .

As I mentioned earlier in thread we have had 3 huge upsets the last decade with mavs over heat 2011, cavs over warriors 2016 and raptors over warriors 2019. U didn't see upsets in the 80s and 90s.
yeah, the whole thing doesn't make a ton of sense in some ways. The college game is worse because the best players leave after 1 year, 2 at the most. The pro game is worse because you have 18 and 19 year olds who are there before they are ready to contribute. And you're pushing out a veteran to make room on the roster for that 18 or 19 year old.....
Are you forgetting that the 2019 Warriors played that entire series without Kevin Durant, who was out with a torn achilles, and also lost Klay Thompson in the final game? That was in no way a "huge upset" given the Warrior's injury circumstances. And the 2016 Cavs title only happened because of Draymond Green's suspension for habitual nut-kicking.
But I'll give you the 2011 Mavs. That was indeed surprising, and with the Heat having no excuses. It was also pretty damn cool.

Maybe not in the finals but an 8th seed did beat a 1 seed in the 90s. Upsets is more than just the finals . It’s rarely happened in the 2000s too though finals wise

Had Jordan not retired, those dudes would have won every title in the 90's--Except of course the 1990 finals. BUT....I mean its not like the Bulls were beating up on a bunch of YMCA teams...Just to get to the Finals, they had to beat a really good Pistons team....Cav's team that won 57 games...Knicks with Ewing, Strks, Oakley, etc, etc....Then when MJ returned for a full-season, they destroyed a 60 win Magic team in the EC Finals.
The Bulls were just that damn good.

It's as though Michael Jordan was designed in a lab to be the best basketball player in history - the combination of extreme physical talent and the perfect mindset. in some ways the mindset of an assassin (some might so, sociopath). Able to muster complete and utter motivation at the most innocuous things, and thereby visit complete and utter destruction. Calipari has said he wouldn't even look in MJ's direction during a game, so fearful he was of triggering.
That said, though he's made perfectly to be a competitive force of havoc.....that mindset isn't exactly tailor made for being a happy and well adjusted member of society. Jordan once said he figured he'd die young, just couldn't imagine himself living in society without that competitive outlet.
