The ACC stand a whopping 1-9 record in Bowl games as of today. Hopefully many of tge recruits will look to the SEC.

you know you can be bothAre you into opt out bowls? Are you a Kentucky fan or an SEC fan?
A SEC fan like so many. It’s the only sport and league that does this. No one else has ever cared one iota or pounded their chest over a conference except this. It’s crazy and no one has ever rooted for Kentucky in college basketball to win it all. Everyone was against us in 2015. No one else in the SEC tried to take credit for the 2012 title either😂Are you into opt out bowls? Are you a Kentucky fan or an SEC fan?
Does UNC root for Duke cause of ACC? Does Tennessee root for us in basketball? No. Do the Cowboys celebrate the Eagles going to the Super Bowl cause they’re the NFC East?you know you can be both
you do not have to put yourself on an island
They did although the wins were generally upper half acc vs lower sec if I recall correctlyYeah definitely a bad season overall. I think they were like 5-6 last year with one of those being the game where FSU’s entire production opted out.
That same conference also had a winning record against the SEC last regular season just fyi.
One was FSU’s win over Jayden Daniels LSU team. They did although the wins were generally upper half acc vs lower sec if I recall correctly
There is a logical explanation behind this phenomenon but if you don’t have the reasoning ability to see it on your own, then it’s probably not worth explaining. But hell, I have a free second.A SEC fan like so many. It’s the only sport and league that does this. No one else has ever cared one iota or pounded their chest over a conference except this. Well lets see, I have been following, faithfully, UK football since the Mid 60's. I always pull for any SEC team against any foe from other conferences. Truthfully I don't think there is any ACC team that would have fewer than 3 or 4 losses consistently if they were in the SEC. Actually maybe no conference that would consistently 3 or less losses. Are you into opt out bowls? Are you a Kentucky fan or an SEC fan?
Wait. Why do we want the recruits to come in the SEC? Kentucky, yes. Sec? Absolutely not.The ACC stand a whopping 1-9 record in Bowl games as of today. Hopefully many of tge recruits will look to the SEC.
huge difference in college and pro'sDoes UNC root for Duke cause of ACC? Does Tennessee root for us in basketball? No. Do the Cowboys celebrate the Eagles going to the Super Bowl cause they’re the NFC East?
No
The fsu game and Miami over A&M were the two wins against bowl eligible teams. Ga tech took two L’s and the UL game were all bowl eligible team losses. Yeah it was a forgettable slate…that was a very mediocre UL team relative to their ranking. One was FSU’s win over Jayden Daniels LSU team.
The SEC’s best OOC win last season was Kentucky over Louisville. Other than LSU against FSU, Bama against Texas, no one was scheduled that was a good game last year.

Lol, mid major GT out played your boys. If not for the late game fumble, they would have. That was not a fluke either, they whipped your team in the trenches. With nole in his name, got to assume he is some kind of FSU fan. How can any FSU fan who would love to be out of the ACC and in the SEC come to an SEC boad and tell it how great the ACC is. It's a mid major conference, being left out of the playoffs at 13-0 should tell them that, their TV deal is about 30% of the major conferences. But why would the Big or SEC want a team with the culture FSU presented in the Orange Bowl? Conference champion gets beat by the largest margin in modern bowl history.

Are you really bragging about beating an FSU team that had all but 2 starters opt out? LolCheering moral victories now? And IF you aunt had testicles she would be your uncle. Hard to take GT serious when you have beaten them 19 out of 21.
Let me see if I can remember this correctly, UGA has played the ACC champions the last 2 years, the combined score is 93-6 and that was 2 FG, not a TD. So yeah, mid major.
Are you really bragging about beating an FSU team that had all but 2 starters opt out? Lol
Does bowl record by conference mean anything…all the opt outs etc. it just doesn’t mean anything to me…outside the playoffs
These bowl games …..helil kids barely care for regular season games anymore…just making a mockery of the entire sport
Some of your takes are really nonsense..... actually most of them. The OP is discussing your conference's POOR record in bowls this year. Weak! Are you really bragging about beating an FSU team that had all but 2 starters opt out? Lol
Imo it doesn't mean anything now.
The acc is still hot garbage. UK would constantly challenge to win that league. Its beyond terrible. Its literally mid major football.
I've fallen away from supporting our SEC brethren in OOC contests. It was once important to me, but not anymore. Their loss is our gain.I’ve always thought Kentucky fans rooting for the SEC in football was to make us feel better about having a crappy football program.

I hated that SEC chant more than anythingI’ve always thought Kentucky fans rooting for the SEC in football was to make us feel better about having a crappy football program.

It is.I’ve always thought Kentucky fans rooting for the SEC in football was to make us feel better about having a crappy football program.
Maybe but Georgia needed multiple overtimes to beat Georgia Tech.Imo it doesn't mean anything now.

Are you saying you don't think any ACC team to ever exist could have made it through SEC play without 3-4 losses or just this year? Because this is an absurd take if you're talking all time. In fact, the SEC wasn't anything special until the mid 2000s and then it got promoted like crazy on television in the Tebow era.Well lets see, I have been following, faithfully, UK football since the Mid 60's. Last year, UK lost to the sixth place ACC team in their bowl game. FSU demolished LSU and their Heisman winner and beat Florida last year. It was not good this year but they obviously have had Clemson and FSU teams that have had success in the last decade.
I was talking about regular season games. Its a huge advantage only playing one or two tough games a season. It lets you load up on those games and keep everyone healthy.
In the sec every game is a war. The physical and emotional grind is unreal.
I addressed the bowl games in my post. I don't think you can take anything from bowl games nowadays. Everyone has so many people sitting out, coaching changes, etc.
ok - they play football in the ACC? I thought they were just like Kentucky - only basketball seems to matter! The ACC stand a whopping 1-9 record in Bowl games as of today. Hopefully many of tge recruits will look to the SEC.

Pre super conference is a different discussion. For so many years, the east sucked. Georgia could just beat the piss out of their division cause getting to face down teams of Tennessee and Florida then have SC, Kentucky, and Vandy as automatic wins with OOC schedules like UT Martin, Ball State, and UAB (I'm referencing 2023 just as an example), isn't a crazy grind. Now the west had more of an argument with Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss sometimes. Those teams are typically good but the conference was always top heavy where it's about two really good teams and then everything under is nothing special.
Texas and Oklahoma coming to the conference and adding more SEC games with no divison makes it a different argument *throw in the NIL/portal stuff and it's even crazier) but still, no one in the SEC has looked amazing this year. No one looks amazing in the entire sport. Probably the first time in forever that many can say that.
When Va Tech and Miami were brought in, that looked like it would be a solid football conference. That hasn't really worked out as times changed. My point is- just by default being in the SEC doesn't make you good or your schedule tough. Texas is a perfect example of that this year. They don't have a single win over a current ranked team this season.
Finally someone gets it, money runs everything.huge difference in college and pro's

What I'm trying to relate is the ACC teams would have to play such a difficult schedule most years in the SEC they'd have more than 2 losses most of the time. When you go through the year with only a couple tough games rather than possibly getting beat in any game it makes a difference. Hopefully one of your ACC teams will get in one day and we'll see hoe you do.Are you saying you don't think any ACC team to ever exist could have made it through SEC play without 3-4 losses or just this year? In the 90s, the SEC West was nothing special after 1992. The East was the the top division. Then it flipped for many years and the East would go to crap.
All of the 90s FSU teams would've been fine in the SEC. The Clemson teams that won national titles in 2016 and 2018 would've been fine as well especially the 2018 one that blew Bama out in the championship by 30.
