I bet it's hard even playing with him. I wouldn't watch any shots.

True. It's like playing with someone with the shanks, you turn your back to them when they hit.

Congrats, PTI (pti)
Even though he had many injuries before this, no one who bet or thought pti would lose the bet, ever imagined this type of debilitating injury to stop him in his tracks. More injuries, yes, but not injuries to where he cannot even play. Guess pti was ahead of the curve on the injury thing but I thought if he could compete he could win some more. The nice thing is, until he officially retires, they don't have to pay

Ok, I am now really starting to question Tiger. I said a week ago that it looked hike his clubhead speed was back, but short game was atrocious. He is Tiger Woods. Surely he will get short game back. Was spraying the ball all over the course but surely he can fix his bad "patterns" and get it together. This whole reoccurring back injury deal is a complete different animal and think it may be the end of Tiger's reign in golf. You cannot compete on the Tour with the distances these young guys have now with a bad back and average short game. Not going to happen.

I am getting closer to the realization that he might be done. Its now Rory's time. He needs to keep winning majors and take the lure of Tiger away and start carrying golf on his back and help promote the game again. Just do not think golf can keep promoting Tiger to get ratings when he is never in contention, hurt, or not playing in more events. You can say he was the PGA Player of the Year in 2013, but he has not won a major since 2008 and shows no signs of it at this point in his career. In short, its time for golf to move on from Tiger and puts its efforts into its younger players and main attraction (Rory). If Tiger ever gets it together then that is an added bonus.

I've never been a big Tiger fan, but have frequently marveled at his golf game and his period of historical dominance. He was well on his way to passing Jack in majors at one time.

I've never understood why he would cheat on Elin Nordegrin, or change his golf swing, etc. Makes no sense.

That said, his golf game is really messed up right now, I don't know if he can ever win again or not, especially a major, with pro golf being so deep, and full of great young players.

The thing I worry about now for Tiger, is just about Tiger. His fall has been so great in just about every area of his life. How much can a guy like him take? He's just human after all. I just hope he able to handle it all.

Being on the juice does wonders. Since he got off the juice, his body is breaking down. Look at pictures of him when he first got on tour and then now, notice the size of his head.

JB Holmes leads. Also, if a player wears his school colors today, which JB is, the low score of the day gets $10,000 donated to his schools golf team. JB is -4 on the day and leads for the money for UK.

Tough shot from 235. Long of the green is dead if you get a bad lie. Day nearly hit it into the water from behind the green. It wasn't a bad decision just not the best execution.

English did it from a worse lie. Even had a damn good shot at holing his bunker shot for the win. Holmes went for it the other 2 times he played the hole in the tourney from 262 and 248, birdieing it yesterday.

He went for it once this week. Laid up yesterday. The day he went for it the hole wasn't tucked behind the water inside the bowl. Hitting into a 20 foot circle with a 4 iron is pretty tough. He could have done what English did but JB didn't hit a good bunker shot all day so that might have been why he avoided it.

CBS cuts away from PGA coverage for freakin' 60 Minutes. Flat out sucks. Why is that show even popular anyway?

Which me and countless other fans who wanted to see the ending don't have.

That sucks, but that is why they do it, to get more people to subscribe to the Golf Channel.

Sorry about that. Guessing that it was all about CBS not wanting to screw up the time leading up to the Grammy's.

Shocked JB layed up just because that's just not how he plays. Heck, he was hitting driver at unnecessary times all week and going for just about every pin.

He got scared and it cost him a win. Should have played to win and not to lose. Heck he could have put it in the water and still got up and down for par.

Bet he woke up this morning regretting that decision.

I disagree. He didn't make a single bogey coming down the stretch, had a great chance for birdie on 17 and 18 just didn't make the putts. It happens. He played 18 the same way twice on Sunday and went par, birdie. Hard to criticize his strategy.

What was he 235 to the pin? Hell I'm a 10 handy hacker and I can probably clear that water and put it on the green or close 7 out of 10. Like I first said, great imitation of Don Johnson. Birdie wins it, and you lay up. And like I said, worst case you put it in the water and still can get up and down. That same ol American golfer timidity that costs us Ryder Cups. IMO

If you are a true 10, I will give you 2-1 odds you can't get it on the green 1 out of 10 times from 235,with tv cameras and 100's people watching.

2-1 odds? That's it? I'm so full of crap all I get is 2-1? LMAO

You are missing the point. I am not a professional golfer that hits thousands of balls a week. That is a green light special for every other golfer in the field, and I do believe most of them went for it if they were 235 out in the fairway. Losing in the playoff made him 200k more than missing the playoff. Big deal, get a birdie on 18 and be a millionaire. That's playing to win and not to lose.

Has anyone ever played the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club course in Brentwood, TN? It's not one of those pristine perfectly manicured courses, or even highly touted. But, by far the hardest course I've ever played. Originally built to be a PGA course, it just gives you no room for error. It's my understanding that most members are pretty serious golfers who aren't concerned about being a member of some high-end social golf club---they just want to play a really challenging course.

If you are ever in the area--check it out.
