The UNC/NCAA saga wraps up this summer now. 5 game suspension for Roy against Appalachian State and such, maybe a scholly loss for a couple years, and the NCAA will be "watching" them (lmao) to make sure things are done right.

Great strategy by UNC to deflect, stall, deny, to be able to complete for 2 titles.

I agree, UNC should NOT have even been in the tournament. They SHOULD be in the 2nd year of a 3 year post-season ban, but the hypocrites at the NCAA have decided not to punish one of the most egregious instances of institutional and educational corruption and deceit that I've ever seen.

That being said, UNC winning their third national championship in 12 years is definitely something to admire. Cheating or not, in the one and done era that is definitely an accomplishment. Roy has proven it is possible to recruit the mid-tier of the top 50 consistently and compete for and win titles. There isn't a single one and done on his team:

2013 - Isaiah Hicks #16, Kennedy Meeks #58
2014 - Justin Jackson #9, Theo Pinson #13, Joel Berry, #30
2016 - VJ King #28, Seventh Woods #49

Is this the Tubby method?

What exactly are we admiring? Blatant cheating? 20-25 years of cheating by a university is a far less offense than let's say 1 kid possibly cheating on an SAT. Do you know how I know? I watched Memphis get stomped into the pavement, and UNC go to back to back title games. Yes, what 1 kid does before he goes to college means far more to the NCAA than what an NCAA institution does for decades. It's science.

Right. I didn't get the gist of that post either.

Admire a team that should be on probation that was gift wrapped 3 of its 6 wins in the NCAA tourney?

I'll pass, thank you.

VJ King mid season transfer? Lol was wondering why I never saw him get in the game for Louisville...

I'm not saying that the NCAA is going to do the right thing and actually punish UNC, but they have not decided they aren't. Everybody keeps using language that is in the past tense as if it has already happened. There is a ruling yet to come that is still a ways off. I think we may get a read on what the COI will do by what happens to UL this summer. The COI is remade of new members every 2 years and they just a new batch of members recently if I heard correctly. UNC still has some very serious charges standing after the 3rd NOA was issued. All I care about is title being stripped, but I do think that punishment will be more than a few games suspension and a loss of 1 scholly. I predict somewhere in between a slap on the wrist and the nuclear option, but still remain optimistic the COI has some guts. Remember, the COI is not NCAA members, but people from member schools who just may be tired of seeing UNC get away with things they can't.

Roy even went at the NCAA last year. He's like now hand me my trophy bi$ch.

He runs the sport and he's legend

I feel after 4+ years on this nothing happening to UNC or the NCAA could have stopped the from competing for titles. It took the NCAA less than a year to hammer Memphis and many other schools.

I am learning to deal with the fact that UNC and Duke are untouchable.
