Tennessee fans are losing their minds after Florida loss.

Didn't stoops seek us out? Why would you seek out a team, have a specific plan already concocted on how to win there, and then leave? He wanted to be here and I think he plans on being here for a while. That doesn't mean plans can't change though. In my opinion there are only a hand full of schools that could pull Stoops away and I'm not sure they will ever come after him.

Things getting Rocky on Rocky Top. The TN loss was a great appetizer for a KY win last Saturday.

They better, he wins 9 games or more this year, a school who is looking for a head coach will make him an offer. I don't know what he is making now, 5 is probably a little high, but he better be offered 4+. Now I don't know who will be looking, I know USC is not a very happy fan base and Stoops has been mentioned by some of them. If I were a UK fan, my big worry would be when Urban has his next breakdown and retires again. Stoops is an Ohio guy, and they would pay big, I don't know anyone else that would really be tempting to him.

9 wins from the regular season requires a winning record in the SEC. THAT, is what the goal should be. Second only to this one and only primary goal: to compete against Tennessee. These must be the goals of the UK football program. Said it for years. People try to diffuse that by saying crap like there is no rivalry against UT, the Louisville game is more important (such a joke). But just wait when such time comes when we are not UT's whipping boy any longer. You will know where that 5-3 or 6-2 SEC record came from. Just wait for that day when we leave a packed 100k Neyland Stadium with a win. You will know. You will most definitely know.

Yeah Tennessee and Kentucky wouldn't compete for the ACC championship I'm a diehard uk and seminole but realistically speaking UK is long ways away from competing for conference titles in any conference.

Lol yeah mmmkay!!! The only 2 teams that can beat UK in football from that conference is FSU and Clemson. Kentucky could come in 3rd easily this year and near future compete for ACC crown. You must not see what stoops is doing. ACC is whack!!

I think Jones is a very good coach but he's too conservative. Tennessee had a two score lead late and they tried to sit on it - won't work in this league.

Think he either learns his lesson from Florida and Oklahoma or he's done after 2016. Part of the problem is getting over the hump too, with that many young players it isn't easy. Being conservative is just never a good idea in the SEC. Nobody is going to give you anything.

Matt Jones said that he had heard that UK would go up to the $4 million area if teams come after stoops. Given the climate out there and the teams that may be looking the next 3 years....

I think $4 million keeps him here. Texas isn't gonna come after a guy with a couple good seasons after charlie. Osu scares me but they honestly only come if they miss on someone else. Fsu, clemson, miami, or maybe ND are the only places that would give him recruiting advantages plus more money and a path to win a title.

He's not gonna leave for Iowa, kst, virginia, or team like that cause he will have us ahead of teams like that if they try to hire him.

Look, if Stoops wins as much as we think he is going to, Kentucky will pay him whatever to stay. To say that they'd 'only' pay $4 million just isn't a good business decision. With the money that football alone makes, they'll pay what they have to to keep a winner.

Again, that's assuming UK continues to take football seriously.

Didn't we beat fsu and Clemson last time we played?

I wouldn't hang your hat on that FSU win. It was great, and I loved every second of it, but if I recall correctly FSU had to bench numerous starters and Bowden was on the way out.
