Living down here on the border, the night air is filled with their screams of misery.

My wife's cousin, a die hard Vol fan, just sacrificed his coon hound.

Things getting scary around here.

gotta admit that was a pretty crushing way to lose. Blowing a lead and losing on 4th and forever

11 straight years.

Tennessee is absolutely not a power in the SEC. They'd be top 2 in the ACC yearly, but they can't get above water in this conference. They kept Fulmer far too long.

As good as it feels I dread listening to them cry Monday morning. A guy I work with was saying Friday that they will run butch jones out of town if they didn't win. I was like why he didn't lose all those games. His answer was that they had more talent this year and there was no excuse to lose to them no matter where they played. When they get to 29 then they can cry until then I don't want to hear it!

Butch Jones is officially on the hot seat after that awful coaching. He gets way too conservative when they have a lead. It has cost them twice.

UK fan living in Tennessee, they fled out of the bar that I was watching the game, they were lower than a snakes belly. It was glorious to see....

I think Jones is a very good coach but he's too conservative. Tennessee had a two score lead late and they tried to sit on it - won't work in this league.

They lost two games now that reminds me of the way we lose games. 4th and 14 and give up a winning TD.

Well, after living thru the Curci years where this same thing happened to us on almost a weekly basis, I wouldn't crow too much about what happened to the Vols today.....Karma !

I love it. They are some of the worst fans and are incredibly entitled for a program that hasn't done much lately.

I didn't want Jones during our coaching search and I was glad we didn't get him. Although Stoops is still learning how to manage a program, I think he will end up being the better hire between the 2. Jones is living off the recruiting and UT is one of those jobs that nearly recruits itself. Stoops has drastically increased the level of recruiting here and is ending a bunch of bad streaks (just wish Florida was one).

Butch Jones has proven to be an excellent recruiter, but his annoying tics and "brick by brick" cliches are irritating and his game management is AWFUL. They scored a TD to go up 26-14 with ten minutes left. Any coach worth his salt goes for 2. hell, even a bad coach should have "the sheet" or a coaching staff telling him to go for 2. He didnt and it killed him. Add in the clock management at the end of the game, and it was just a debacle. UT should be 4-0 and in the top 10 and instead they're 2-2 b/c of him (and I'm loving it).

I have a cousin who lives in Tennessee and when the coaching search for both was going on I told him we got the best coach. I told him Jones would recruit well and is a good guy - but he is not a "x" and "o" coach and has a history of making bad in game decisions every where he's been. He will beat you when he has much superior players - but only then. I think the Tennessee game will be very hard for us - because their talent is as good as almost any of the top 5 teams. If they run Jones out they now have enough top talent that any good coach could win in Knoxville now. They won't fire him for at least another two years IMO, by then he will 10 games with talent alone.

I do think we are on our way and I think with equal talent we beat Jones 7 out of 10 times easily.

Go Big Blue!

UT has lost both games they were hoping to win. I think now the only way UT salvages a "decent" season in their fans' eyes is to beat either UGA or Alabama. Split those, win the rest they are supposed to and they are 9-3. They have Arkansas and UGA at home coming up, so will be interesting to see what happens if they lose both of those. UT fans will go postal. [roll]

UT has good talent, and I think they can still win every remaining game on the schedule, but they don't have many sure things either.

What a crushing loss. We of all fan bases should know how that feels. Have to at least feel a little bit sorry for the big orange fans. They've lost a few heartbreakers this year.

Jones is a snake-oil charlatan. Good recruiting, all of his other 'we are UT rah-rah' crap is cliched and phony.
