If they decided to come back and the season gets cancelled, then what?

Wait 2 more years to declare for the NBA?

Sure, some of them are taking a chance on not getting drafted, but they would be taking a far greater risk to their potential NBA careers if they decided to come back and the season gets cancelled.

And I think that is a very real possibility.

Possibly, but a bad decision might mean they only play 1-2 more years of "relevant" basketball.

Yeah, he's one of several that attacked me because they don't like my opinions, then told me I was "being argumentative" when I would respond. It's okay for them to get heated and take shots at others, but if you fire back, you're the arshole.

There's been a lot of that on here, of late. The Superfans have been given a lot of slack around this board.
There's maybe 4-5 members that truly are overly negative. And there's 6-7 guys that are overly positive. I've seen more temper tantrums from the last group. And they're getting away with it. I'm surprised a couple of those guys haven't been given a timeout.
Jeff, I've seen some of these guys question your "fanhood" and other silly shit. Anyone who's been around this board should know you're a fan. You're not always the most positive poster, but you've never really gone too far, in my opinion. I don't always agree with you, and that's ok. I don't always agree with myself. If we don't have some folks talking about the negatives, it's a cheerleading echo chamber. One thing I started doing last week, was ignoring people. I hate to resort to that, but that one guy with multiple usernames drove me to it. It's been much better since I did that. I hate to need a filter on here, but I guess I do.

Yeah, I don't get it, they think their thoughts are right and everyone else is wrong and to prove it, most of them twist your words and lie about things I've said. Then I retaliate and I get locked out of threads while they can continue on.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct them, tell them I don't want a new coach and repeat myself. I guess they just can't grasp the idea that you can still stand behind someone and not like everything they do.

There were even two guys that claimed I post consistently on the Louisville board and I trash this site and UK fans. Said they call me "KYJelly" over there. I haven't posted on the UL board in years and when I did, I never talked about UK fans. I couldn't defend myself, because I was locked out of the thread… .. because I was defending myself.

If you have to lie and twist words to make your point, you have to know you are the one that is wrong.

But you're right, they have been allowed to attack those of us that don't like players jumping early. They've been allowed to tee off on us and not get a timeout.

It's not like my thoughts on this system are out of nowhere, they're very valid and I'm far from alone. To me, it's quite simple, Cal will win a lot of games because he brings in a lot of individuals that are talented, but he's not going to win another title with this method. I'm not okay with that.

There are so many of these conversations that would be so much less dramatic if they were face to face. I don't think the other side truly grasps what we're saying when it's relayed through text. No matter how many times we explain ourselves, they think we want Cal replaced. It's a never ending cycle.

Heck, I bet coach Cal would fully understand that these players leaving early for the GL is not something that most fans would be good with.

A lot of slack? It appears to me some on this board have a hall pass to say whatever they want to say with no repercussions. No idea which mod is putting the silent treatment on some posters trying to defend themselves against un-warranted personal attacks. I sure hope this board is not turned into a board like the UNC board Tar Heel Radar, where ONLY positive posts are allowed and zero tolerance for dissenting opinions. I fear it is in the early stages of that.

I will defend myself against personal attacks and insults, if that means I get banned, then I don’t need to be on a board like that anyway.

At the very least if a mod locks you out of a thread, an explanation should be given as to why. So, mods, please don’t turn this board into another THR. Thanks in advance.

We talk about these kids making dumb choices in regard to the draft. I wonder if enough of those who go out for the draft don't get drafted and don't go to the G league or overseas (ther are only so many positions and contracts), would that deter some from declaring next time who may not have the talent? Would it open their eyes to the possibility that staying in college another year or two be a GOOD thing as opposed to going NOWHERE? just curious.

I hope I made myself fairly clear...lol. Sometimes when I am typing, my brain goes faster than my fingers...lol.
