Stoops should resign today.

Stoops has earned the ability to coach out the season but if he keeps running Scangarello as OC, he deserves to be fired. The man can't generate offense with, arguably, the most offensive talent we've ever had.

Now, you could say the line is awful and I'd agree but I'd also like to point out that the OC has a responsibility to adapt to that, something that other OC"s do all the time. What do we run 99% of the time? HB dive, long developing pass play or sweep. There's some window dressing in all of that but it does jack squat.

The man ran McClain on a 2pt conversion into a 10 man box with a bunch set and it took 20 seconds to get that play in.

We need a ST coordinator. We've lost at least one game due to that this season and several over the years.

The O-Line coach has not developed anyone and apparently is struggling with recruiting (that's hearsay, I haven't kept up like I normally do).

Brad White is our best coordinator and I'd argue his schtick is getting a bit old too. We gave up way too much "drop 8 and hope" 3rd and forevers today and generate 0 pass rush with the guys we do bring.

I'm sick. This team had all the markings of a great team on paper, but this coaching staff botched it so poorly that we are now likely dogs to UL. Unfathomable.

We better hope Stoops doesn't leave because I have more faith in a politician than I do Barnhart making a home run hire.

No he shouldn't- he doesn't owe anyone that.

But we should have leadership that wants to build a winning program that would fire him.

Curry should have resigned too but he didn't do it because he
had a CONTRACT! Same with Stoops. We're stuck with him as
he takes us back to our customary position as laughing stock
of the conference. We'll end up 6-6 thanks to that most unlikely
win vs MO and I suppose we'll accept a bowl invitation since
Stoops gets more money for that and that game will give us
a losing record.

Let this sink in Vanderbilt was dead last in the SEC coming into the game on defense! We couldn’t get crap it seemed does blame go to Scrang sure it does but 10 years in and 6 offensive coordinators later it still remains as one common denominator!
That is the worst Oline that i can remember. Even Bill Curry’s lines weren’t this bad. Who recruited Flax?

We were awful. You still don’t fire stoops clearly. But if he wants to can someone I get it. Our losses have been humiliating
I think he’s willing to but he may be at the point he’s still debating it himself because it just draws even more attention to the fact he hasn’t managed that side of the ball well at all. That would be the third coordinator he’s let go…one of them a year after giving him an extension
