Stock Advice Thread

ETFs and stocks for me. Been working with a lot of <$10.00 - $20.00 stocks lately except for TESLA and a few others.

If you are interested in the next DexCom Inc (DXCM) diabetes treatment regimen, check into SENS at about 51 Cents a share right now.

It is my #1 sleeper penny stock. When the big investors and main stream folks discover this jewel it will likely rocket up, up and away. The giant Swiss Pharma company 'Roche' is backing them so that is like a golden endorsement for SENS. Time will tell.

Good fortune to ya!!!

^ That. lz - on TESLA...wow...very tempting to sale now and reap the profits. How you holding out so far????

My strong hand position is getting itchy to sale now....you?

Trying to keep the faith....but greed is a strong impulse.

Also, KNDI has been holding gains well as of today. Interesting.

Sold most of it, think we get lower buy prices later, JMO! NVDA comes out with eps later today, holding on, could get hit, but great company.

I bought Tesla just a bit. I still think it's crazy/stupid/ridiculously overpriced and will likely plummet at some point.........however, the split is soon and I think the Robinhood crazies will further inflate the price......and then there's the chance they will break into the SP500 which will cause the Robin-crazies to inflate it some more......and then there's Battery Day on Sept 22nd which is rumored to be YUGE this yr which will cause the Rob-crazies to inflate it some more.

Believe me that I'll be chasing it with a stop-loss every step of the way.

Very good astute reasoning. I am with BR22s point that the crazies will keep pushing the price up right to the split date and a few days after. Time will tell. Nothing surprises me with TSLA.

I have never pulled the trigger on NVDA but as you say it is a solid company. But I am invested in AMD, MU and TSM so not worried about that sector now.

Have either of you looked at KNDI yet and decided to jump the shark on them? Its been good to me so far. Watching the China trade talks and agreements to keep me in or not.

I have not, Cramer spooks me away from Chinese companies, though I often don’t follow his advice. I have a little bit of overpriced AMD, let the other two you mention go, had too many in that sector. NVDA had an excellent eps seemingly, down a little post market by sellers likely anticipating a less than stellar report.

If NVDA drops enough...I might jump on them. We will see.

I do not listen to Cramer at all. KNDI is solid...if Dems win in Nov....watch out ^^^ they will likely go up crazy up. Time will tell.

I’m looking at NVDA at about $450-460....but we’ll see. I might not get my chance.

Got a weird question.

Inlaw keeps telling me about a Cannabis/CBD company called Flora Growth and they're doing something called a Reg A+ offering. Anyone familiar with this company or investing type?

Just dipped my toes into ESPO. It's a ETF that focuses on video gaming and e-sports.

Top holdings:
-AMD
-NVDA
-ATVI
-EA Sports
-Take-Two

Started about 2 yrs ago. Went up 79% in the last calendar year alone.

Obviously a long term prospect.

Other competitor ETF's are GAMR, NERD,and HERO

Had to look it up......never heard of it before. Never heard of the process nor the company.

It seems suspect.. and my BIL (to be), does go down the "get rich quick!" rabbit hole very easily. What is this cannabis company doing that others aren't? I guess going this route instead of an IPO? Is that a good thing. And how much can I feasibly get as a return? Ehh.

In the marijuana industry, everything is a start-up.....and most will fold or be bought out. My thoughts is that if you're going to invest in individual companies, cast a wide net.......and aim for the big players.......Canopy Growth, Aphria, Cronos, GW............or just buy MJ (ETF) and forget about it.

......other indirect ways to get exposed to the sector is IIPR (REIT) and Scotts-Miracle Grow. Shoot, I think SMG might be the best way to go right now anyway. It has a nice little dividend that has been increasing over the last 10 yrs........and it actually has a nice overall growth history.

What’s the cannabis connection with SMG, Blue? I have IIPR, sold GTBIF, a Chicago area company expanding its stores, but will get back in that one if Biden wins, one of the few cannabis companies I like.

SMG is the world leader in hydroponics.....which will likely be the future of all agriculture.

But, obviously, it's much more than that. So, it's a way to expose yourself to the MJ sector without really placing yourself at too much risk.

So I got some more information on Flora. It's, seemingly, buying internal stock, before they do an IPO. Minimum is $1,200, which gets you 1,600 shares at $0.75/share. The final day to buy is tomorrow. I guess there's talks of it getting to $80/share in a few years.

I have not bought yet, don't know if I will. Not sure I want to spend $1,200 on something like this.

But I have some of their material if anyone wants to look. I'd actually be curious to see what people think.

I still think my BIL to be sorta "bought in"..

It’s certainly interesting. I don’t know much about the Columbia market.

Interesting thing with my Malaysian glove company:
TGLVY

“Rewarding our Shareholders: 2-for 1 Bonus Share Issue
At our first fully virtual Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 18 August 2020, shareholders voted to approve the 2-for-1 bonus share issue which we proposed on 20 July 2020. The exercise will entail the issuance of up to 5.48 billion bonus shares in Top Glove, the entitlement and target completion dates for which are 4 September 2020 and 7 September 2020 respectively.“

I had never heard of bonus share issues, but seemingly similar to stock splits, difference is they are for existing shareholders only. Of course, after the 9/7 date, the price will go down in proportion and hopefully for me, new investors will buy.

I took another small shot on goal with GRWG. They told an amazing story on Mad Money and it's coming back down from the stratosphere. Maybe I can get more lower soon.

Bought DIN at $39. Trading at $55 today. Not sure if I should take my profit and park it or hold on to it.
