I just don't like the bigs. I'm hoping we get a stud big so SKJ can be the first big off the bench.

Other than Giles (Duke most likely), Adebayo (NC State), Maker (ASU), and Azubuike (FSU), what bigs are out there who would be an upgrade over SKJ, a sophomore Humphries and Wynyard, and possibly a senior Lee? I'm not seeing any - and that includes Bolden and Jarrett Allen.

UK doesn't need a deep incoming class. Just 4 or 5 guys to go along with Humphries, Matthews, Mulder, and maybe one of Lee or Ulis.

Fox/Monk/Bridges/SKJ is more than enough.

My point is, we are in better shape with bigs without adding anyone else than just 3-4 schools in the country. That can be counter-balanced quite well if we have the best backcourt - which we will if we add Fox, Monk, and Bridges.

I can agree with that part. SKJ would be perfect type of big to come off the bench and not expected to carry the load inside. Not sure he's there yet talent wise. We really don't have many options of elite bigs in this class to choose from, so i'm hoping guys like the big 7'fter from Aussie and Wyynard are ready to go by then. Let's hope so.

This is my first time really following recruiting day to day. It's stressful to say the least. No wonder Cal ages so quickly.

Huh? Really? The guy is having the time of his life and enjoying large. Smiling from ear to ear most if not all of the time I guess if that is aging quickly I want some of it. (We are about the same age (I look younger. I blame it on Grecian formula.), my hip pocket is a lot lighter though but I'm happy too.

A Senior Lee would be ideal for that team. If we can get him back, then I think he provides leadership and would really be nice to have with all that firepower at the 1-3 spot plus Humphries at the 5. Lee would provide rebounding, defense, and hustle on a team with tons perimeter scoring and a solid second year post presence. Killeya-Jones as the first big off the bench and Mulder and Matthews subbing in on the perimeter. Wynyard playing as the fill-in behind Lee, Humphries, and SKJ. Hawkins and Willis as Senior role players. That's a contender, IMHO.

I agree but his comment was made off the cuff. I even posted it here as it IS a good article. My point is this. Yes he said it but I don't think this job is wearing on him and making him age quicker or even look like he is aging. He's enjoying himself more than anywhere he has ever been. That statement alone is conducive to NOT aging. The dude's having fun doing what he loves. Be Good (I just fight any negative connotations about our coach or UK.)(It's a habit of mine.)
