So glad this guy didnt accept the job

I'm also glad that Drew tuned us down. Both would have been disastrous hires for UK. Poor Mitch.

Mitch got the guy he wanted. Had to make the run at the guy he'd been talking to for years and the guy the fans wanted- that the fans now think is a jerk based on this thread. Things work out the way they work out for a reason.

To a dull hammer (fan who hates Mitch), everything looks like a nail (somehow a negative against Mitch). If we win a title with Pope, Mitch won't get credit for hiring him, because the LOD can't stand the thought.

yeah. it just highlights his need for a leash. he has emotional and entitlement issues. the ncaa doesn’t want a loose canon no matter how much they prefer uconn over whomever.

i posted friday about when during a stoppage
the official was going to the monitor from mid court. hurley tried to beat him to it in front of the scorer’s table, he reached his arm toward it (idk why) and the official literally swatted his arm away and hurley walked away yapping. it was truly weird.

Hurley is EXACTLY the kind of coach he was coached by at Duke. This is the K that K wouldn't let be put on camera after Jimmy Valvano had a talk with him. He was never humble like Valvano. ESPN just wanted you to believe he was.

His post game presser kind of flipped me. He was crying over the loss and really felt bad for the players.

If he was that guy on the court during games and in practice, maybe his players would've been talking to him as they left it. He's not, though, and none of them even want to look at him.

Absolute jackass on the court though.

Denial and Anger leaving the court.
Depression and Acceptance for the camera.
He's a peach alright

When he lost 3 games in Hawaii he said he won’t go back. Possibly he won’t go back to the NCAA tourney next year!!

Recruiters will love this video of him. Could put together a compilation to show them. Why would anyone (not just like him) want to play for him? He couldn't coach his team up. He couldn't own his failure. He didn't get the most out of his team.

Jay Wright is on one of the channels saying Dan Hurley is lovable, I guess he condones the way he talks and acts. If he says that about Hurley, he must be stupid too.

Absolutely makes you wonder about Wright, as well.

.........
UCon gets calls or the blind eye every year. Officiating that wins them games. Just like Duke does. Some years it's Wiscy and some years it's AZ, but CONSISTENTLY it's been UCon and Duke.

It's why they go apesht when they don't get the same benefits. The league will get Hurley in line, then go back to their usual coddling. The same coddling Wooden got at UCLA when they knew he had a paid roster.

Absolutely true Except for the part that the UCONN Hurley didn't play at Duke...I think he played at Seton Hall.

Regardless, this aspect of his character still reminds me of Coach K...look like a saint in front of the camera, but act like a scumbag off of it (unless you get caught).
