LeBron took the max contract instead of taking less to help the Lakers. It's not about winning a championship anymore for him or the franchise while he's there. I just don't understand why the Lakers put up with it anymore if they aren't worried about winning a championship. Why is it about appeasing LeBron at this point in his career? Do he and Rich Paul have dirt of the remaining members of the Buss family?
Clark is the real deal and Reese is a player as well.

Lakers ownership is cool milking the last couple years out of Lebron James.... they are making tons of cash on his name.
Also due to the new rules it really requires teams to build primarily through the draft. The Lakers need to change their approach to team building but having Lebron and an older AD hampers a rebuild until changes are made.
LeBron isn't even close to the best player in the league anymore. Never made any sense to me.

I hope Lakers fans realize that their ownership is just content to run the team for publicity right now with LeBron & Son instead of actually contend for titles. The Buss family for years has just been drafting players and making decisions based on eyeballs and clicks more than winning games. Just think back to when they had the #2 pick in the draft and could've taken Fox but instead chose Ball even though Fox TORCHED him that Sweet 16 game.

It was funny because they were talking like he would take less to add a player, must have only been Klay Thompson because as soon as he signed it was the max, he will however “think” of taking a million less to help the cap number.

It’s honestly surprising so many rich people are able to go to so many games, you would think tickets would be so cost prohibitive right now. That they have 20 k rich enough people In every NBA city to fill most games. I know most of their money is from TV but it’s crazy.

Longevity is the reason he has so many records but honestly he’s a top 10, and most likely top 5 player ever. Just not the GOAT. Add in the signing and ridiculous contract they gave to his son and that is another reason. He’s not an NBA player and nobody else would have ever gotten a deal or drafted like that, even some of the other best players in the world. He took the max btw so it was all talk like usual.

I don't know what the rest of what you said has to do with what I said; however, he did opt out, but he didn't take less. That was briefly kicked around by media members, but it never appeared to be a serious consideration. LeBron always opts out because his max limit increases with each new season and subsequent 1-2 year deal that he signs. He keeps his ability to leave open in case he doesn't get his way (like getting his son drafted and signed).

Bronny's contract will make him qualify for the NBA's pension and life-long health coverage. You have to be under contract for at least 1 game in three different seasons to qualify. Bronny's contract is structured to guarantee him through year 3 and the club option is year 4. A lot of other second-round players have their club option in year 3 with no guarantee.

The NBA is easy to hate but the players in the NBA play for money that the man pays them. I think no one in Kentucky really cares what the political beliefs of any NBA player who plays for the Lakers is at all.

Bronny could not compete against average college talent on a so so team, now they think he can compete against the best of that talent. Only one reason why someone of his talent level got draft and got a guaranteed contract, DADDY. Personally Lebron should be paying his salary.
