Yep Perry got a deep bag people are going to be very happy watching him play. He is looking to get buckets on anyone.Watch that clip again and pay attention to Travis Perry finding space to get a bucket. Again the kid can score. He is not just a shooter. He is a scorer.
If you watch BYU games from last year, movement is 100% key to Pope's offensive style - with lots of screens and fake by the players.Love the movement without the ball.
Good movement stresses defenses which in turn makes them less effective on the offensive end.

Am I wrong but it seems like all the coaches are helping instruct. I thought the assistants were suppose to watch from the sidelines and chew gum.
He may have struggled with Cal due to the "go make a play" offense when guarded by SEC level athletes while on an island.Yep Perry got a deep bag people are going to be very happy watching him play. He is looking to get buckets on anyone.
Don't forget that Cal's famous tweak was to basically "pass one or two more times a game."look at that, teaching the team to pass the ball. pretty nice since passing was optional for the past 15 years lol.
YES, and I love how Pope fully understands how to utilize his whole team to help toward that goal, like the 96 team he captained. Total madness how much talent the other ahem, coach wasted. I absolutely could not stand the standing around on offense for the last 15 years.Love the movement without the ball.

Underrated comment here, this was a HUGE problem for the last 15 years and there are still people dying on the hill that it wasn't, like teamwork doesn't matter if you have "THAT" guy.He may have struggled with Cal due to the "go make a play" offense when guarded by SEC level athletes while on an island.
Pope runs good offense to get guys open though, think he will flourish in time.
I like that comparison. I said a couple months ago Chris Lofton with a handle.100%. You don’t break the state scoring record that has stood for nearly 70 years as a JUNIOR without being an all-level scorer. People compare Perry to Reed but honestly, his game is more like a shorter Antonio Reeves. Just a born scorer from anywhere on the court.
Perry and Noah must be doing pretty good. In the five on five it was Brea and Chandler not starting for either team. I know it's early and a lot can happen in four months. Just an interesting tidbit.
Yeah but you kinda got to expect thar right now. I think that's more a testament to Otegas strength and how he is due for a breakout year. Noah has skills on offense for sure.Hope he is doing better on offense because double OO was abusing Trent in the clips on d.
Brea is being held out of 5v5 and 3v3 as a precaution... Not sure if anyone knows but he has rod in both legs so I think they are just bringing him along slowly.Perry and Noah must be doing pretty good. I believe 00 will start instead of Brea. He gives more toughness and is a good rebounder.Hope he is doing better on offense because double OO was abusing Trent in the clips on d.
Did not know that, thanks.Brea is being held out of 5v5 and 3v3 as a precaution... Not sure if anyone knows but he has rod in both legs so I think they are just bringing him along slowly.
The basketball team took over K (Kroger) field for some bonding and frisbee football. Video on KSR instagram, Pope wearing a football helmet with all the players lined up along the end zone is classic. Our Coach is a mad man and I love it.
