Short practice reel

These guys have comparable talent to that 2004 team that earned a #1 seed. They have more depth as well. If they come together quickly and develop cohesion, I could them knocking on the door of the top 10 and a possible 2-3 seed.

For one thing, there's competency and depth at every position. We basically have 10 guys who would be rotation pieces for any program in the nation. That in itself means we'll be able to stay with most opponents. Defensively, we could become elite by year's end.

Those guys are lackadaisical shooting 3s top of the key all alone. We will be lucky to win 3 games. Talking about everything but the game. Sheesh this season is a fail already. Pack it up and go home boys.

Now Pope is up and saying that Williams at times looks like a man among boys. Said he has great inside moves and can score, a great passer and another level type of rim protector that can switch and guard any of the five positions. Pope said that he will give his teammates comfort knowing they have a guy that good that can cover for them if they get beat.

Watch that clip again and pay attention to Travis Perry finding space to get a bucket. Again the kid can score. He is not just a shooter. He is a scorer.

100%. You don’t break the state scoring record that has stood for nearly 70 years as a JUNIOR without being an all-level scorer. People compare Perry to Reed but honestly, his game is more like a shorter Antonio Reeves. Just a born scorer from anywhere on the court.

Yep Perry got a deep bag people are going to be very happy watching him play. He is looking to get buckets on anyone.
He may have struggled with Cal due to the "go make a play" offense when guarded by SEC level athletes while on an island.

Pope runs good offense to get guys open though, think he will flourish in time.

Love the movement without the ball.
Good movement stresses defenses which in turn makes them less effective on the offensive end.
YES, and I love how Pope fully understands how to utilize his whole team to help toward that goal, like the 96 team he captained. Total madness how much talent the other ahem, coach wasted. I absolutely could not stand the standing around on offense for the last 15 years.

Underrated comment here, this was a HUGE problem for the last 15 years and there are still people dying on the hill that it wasn't, like teamwork doesn't matter if you have "THAT" guy.
