I’m not going worry about this one right now. But didn’t he get a pretty big NIL deal? I know that’s not NBA money by any means, but it might keep him in Lex for another season to show off and still get paid.
Landing the big ones? Does that matter if they never play? You don’t think there’s momentum involved in recruiting? You don’t think Cal didn’t hear the “he can’t land the big ones anymore” stuff?
I say don't come here if you don't plan on playing here.I agree this isn’t ideal, but what is Cal supposed to say to the #1 player who wants to:
A) Sign with Kentucky
B) Enroll early
I’m in the camp that hopes/believes he plays this year, thinks there’s a 5% chance he plays here next year and also just glad that we are seriously back in contention for #1 players. We’ll see.
Its an unfortunate situation but I dont see how Cal can get alot of blame here.I agree this isn’t ideal, but what is Cal supposed to say to the #1 player who wants to:

Surely he hasn't already gotten an NIL deal?I’m not going worry about this one right now. But didn’t he get a pretty big NIL deal? I know that’s not NBA money by any means, but it might keep him in Lex for another season to show off and still get paid.
Find a new teamI’m sure UK didn’t want it out. I’ve thought all along his intention was to condition with the team, make some NIL money, and enter this years draft without playing a game for UK.
It is what it is and I’m not very happy about it.
We have a pretty good team and hopefully we finish strong.
I am rather sick of Cal allowing these kids to use us as a pitstop. He can stop it real easy by going to Sharpe and saying you play the next game or pack your bags. We have enough cheerleaders!
According to Kyle Tucker, this isn't new information to UK or Sharpe and they were wanting to keep it quiet because of speculation. He says that whether Sharpe plays this year or not, as of today, he still plans on coming back next season.
So your stance here is UK just shouldnt of recruited him, right? He knew, Cal knew, UK is just the hype machine that bumps him up a spot or 2 in the draft. Cal first, players second, UK third.
hes from Canada, he cant get NIL.The only thing we have is a bunch of NIL money for him. Two years ago, then he's probably gone.. just maybe with a six figure endorsement deal here, money doesn't become a huge issue. Live the good life with one year of college and build your name recognition..
Screw you! You are part of the problem with UK basketball if you think it’s ok for this kid to use our great program in this way. You can’t be a true fan!!Find a new team

As of today is the key phrase here. You really think he’s coming back??as of today, he still plans on coming back next season.
As I said, that is all but impossible to believe. What would the rationale be?
You're just as much part of the problem assuming he's just using UK this year. They knew he'd be eligible for the draft, why go to college for 1 semester anyway? Spending 3 months at UK doesn't affect his draft status if he's already a lottery pick.Screw you! You are part of the problem with UK basketball if you think it’s ok for this kid to use our great program in this way. You can’t be a true fan!!
I remember it being discussed, but no specifics. Found this real quick: https://www.on3.com/teams/kentucky-wildcats/news/shaedon-sharpe-porsche-kentucky-basketball/Surely he hasn't already gotten an NIL deal?
If Sharpe leaves, who else would you blame? Apparently Cal knew he was eligible for the draft this year. All we can do is wait and see for now. This will be blamed on Cal some how as well im guessing.
So he can show out for scouts and dip out in may for combine workouts and the draft. His camp prob doesn't want him to play to avoid injury. What coach on this planet has to get permission from a players ''camp'' to play??? The inmates run the asylum and this is the same shit we were talking about. Maybe Chin Coleman can help him pick out a suit for the big night.Cal has basically already told SS that when he wants to play, he can play. Said this the other day. Just waiting on SS and his camp to give the green light.
Honestly it is hilarious that our head coach would need a green light from a kid's "camp" to play him. Seriously lol.Cal has basically already told SS that when he wants to play, he can play. Said this the other day. Just waiting on SS and his camp to give the green light.
Let's see...Cal created this one and done model. Constantly talks about the NBA and contract money his former players are making. Holds a Pro day for NBA scouts to attend every year before the season starts. Its an unfortunate situation but I dont see how Cal can get alot of blame here.
Until Jabari Smith goes before any of our players 🥴🥴🥴We’re gonna get clobbered by auburn but we’ll show them when we win draft night!
