Given the horrible injury luck up to this point, I’m amazed how much success our team has had this year. I was one of the “Sweet 16” minimum people when the year started and I think virtually everyone close to me kind of saw it the same way.

However, I’m looking at a Lamont Butler who looks ducktaped together, no Jaxson Robinson for that upper register of offensive potential and now facing a virtual road game against Illinois in the round of 32. Kentucky can absolutely win this game, but I’m also fully aware that a high octane five out offense with a lottery pick at point guard is going to be a challenge. I won’t be surprised if our season ends on Sunday.

Every single win from here on is, to me, gravy. I know many will not see it that way and will see this as weak. I hear you and respect your opinion. GBB!

Lots of reasons to be thankful and grateful at being given the results of this year. Win or lose, it has been a rejuvenating season and refreshing attitude to see the changes we have seen.

That said, I want them to go out there and win another tournament game for themselves. They can, and will. They're better than the credit theyve been given this year.

A good foundation of a season to build on. I trust Coach Pope will keep us satisfied.

We are on a path for the Final Four. Yesterdays tune up showed that.

Their Euro lottery pick at PG is prone to turnovers thats their weakness

I know it's us against the world tomorrow, but would we want it any other way? Going to Knoxville everyone had us getting destroyed. Stranger things have happened.

I just want one more win so badly. I know our team is limping to the finish line, but it's been so long. Just 1 more.

Looking at Illinois they only played 7 with 5 playing the bulk of the mins. They were loose with the ball against Xavier and didn't turn Xavier over much, 5 times. I'm hoping Pope figures out the way to attack them. They were 18 from 18 from the line last night. That's scary.

Either way I love this team. They've given their literal blood for us this year. Tomorrow a win would be a cherry on top of a really fun season. But if not I'm hopeful again. And that's everything.

*But please baby Jesus let us pull this one off.

My biggest concern is Tennessee meeting us in the Sweet Sixteen and finding a way to beat us. We'll literally never hear the end of it especially if they get their first FF this year.

I don't think Illinois can beat ut. That leaves the top of the bracket to put an end to ut's run if we don't progress.

Hoping we win. I could see an out tomorrow or making it to the EE, at this point. Once you're there, it's anyone's game.

Edit: I'm rooting hard for whomever ut is playing tonight. F- that orange Gatorade puke team and their shart stain fans.

We can worry about UT when we get there.

I feel the same way about this team, love ‘em. Illinois is Alabama-lite and they are going to be a serious problem for us. They are helter skelter and you can get them on an off night and destroy them. However, I don’t think playing Kentucky in a pseudo-home game they will be having one of their off-nights. They are also healthy at the right time. I expect the injuries have become too much to overcome. I hope to the Good Lord above I am wrong.

Don't worry about TN getting to the Final Four. If we don't get 'em, Houston will crush them.

One of the things that you are not seeing from Cal that was his trademark is sending players in to only pull them out as quickly as they got in. You don't see players spending more time looking at the bench than on at the court. His guys are playing with a lot more confidence.

Cal thinks he should get all of the calls even those he has already gotten more than he deserves.

The best thing Cal has done today is stayed the hell out of the way of his players and allowed them to play as they know how.

Their three nba prospects are type of players we usually struggle with

6-6 top 10 PG, Will Riley and Big T (who will shoot a ton of 3s in the face of amari)

We do not have much solutions on these players

Again, with the current situation, do not expect win tomorrow...

One win is enough for this year, others are bonus...

Weak sauce.

Every team has injuries right now. Some with serious injuries guys not playing that have already moved on to s16. That’s an excuse. Kerr was a massive defensive liability same with Robinson when he decided to play. The heart of our team is out there and they wouldn’t make excuses. Our team does not play hard. They watch instead of going hard. Amari Williams hurt or not was as bad as a guy with his size and skill can play.

It’s not like we re missing DA or bogans or even alex poythress. Where there’s been injury there has been opportunity and chandler capitalized not to mention he’s a better defender than Kerr or Robinson

WHY?????
For heavens sake, WHY???

ARKANSAS IS NOT OUR TEAM. CALIPARI IS NOT OUR COACH.

He didn't want to be here.
Neither did the players.
Pressure grows to level 8 of byu makes a ss16. Poor couldn’t win a tournament game there. He’s too nice. New guy makes these guys play til their feet bleed

I expect a win. We are battle tested, and can rely on Carr again.
