Basically all of the commits we expected to attend did attend this weekend. Drake Jackson and Landon Young were very pleased with the product they saw on the field. It's noteworthy that Jackson is choosing language like "our team" when he talks about UK, so that's a deliberate effort on his part to emphasize he's rock solid with Kentucky even if he takes other visits.
Zyaire Hughes and Davonte Robinson were unable to make the trip.
Jacoby Hill and Nigel Walton have said/tweeted that they didn't really feel the love, which means Kentucky's coaches were probably tied up with others.
Notably, I'm still waiting to hear back from Tylin Oden, the four-star dual-threat.
Jordan Wilson, the DE/TE, was with Jimmy Brumbaugh for much of the day and Kentucky wants him on the defensive line. They did not offer but will continue talking about that. He loved the portion about the facilities and of course Dupree and Smith were a big focus of their talk. He likes the focus on generating pressure on the edge. Oregon, Michigan and UNC are standing out to Wilson.
2017 corner Gentry Bonds spent most of the time there talking to Derrick Ansley, who told him that he fits what he looks for in a DB -- namely, versatility and size. Bonds was blown away by the renderings of the new facilities and said they'll be equal to or better than Tennessee, which he thinks are one of the Vols' best selling points.
Jaylon King is a potentially big-time 2018 corner from Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth and he said his interest in Kentucky is pretty high after the visit. Kentucky, Tennessee and Vandy are the main schools involved for now and he's visited all three. He likes how everything will be close together when the new facilities are finished, and he really liked Erik Korem's program. Ansley knew a little about him going into their visit but wants to see him play more; not surprising since he's so young.
QB Drake Smith greatly enjoyed his visit but it was more for the UK coaches to size him up in person, so I'll have to talk to sources about that.
