The meeting with Reeves should have taken less than a minute.
Cal - "We have nothing to talk about, I have nothing to sell you on, you played here for a year and if you want to play for me next year, you've got 30 seconds to tell me so, otherwise good luck and get the hell out of my office."
That's fine and all. I'm not necessarily against the approach of "you need us" and I think it CAN work..
But we can't be surprised if a lot of players take to it. On one hand we'd all LOVE for Cal to tell it like it is to Reeves.. but then he leaves.. and then we go "what did you do Cal?!". With NIL in place, more so then ever before, the coaches need to cater to players.. and they can't cater to EVERY player's wants. You either kiss the ring of the players, or you run the risk of not being able to field a team.. at least not a good one.
