I was listening to some big ten people and they think the smith stuff is his camp putting pressure on Purdue to get smith more money and go get players in the portal.
I would think so cause until he’s in the portal idk how these people keep saying this. Every school in the nation would be on him like crack.
Smith could literally just say any number and it honestly wouldn’t be overly ridiculous

I do want Folgueiras, but he is a PF, not a C. That lineup would have poor rim protection and rebounding.
Bailey at 6’10 only got 6.2 rpg (5.6 per30min) at Davidson vs smaller less athletic players than he would see in SEC.
And while I like the 41% 3pt stat, he only made 17 all season. He was 4-4 in 1 game, the rest of the season he was 13-37 for 35.1%. The 9 game month of Feb he was 1-9. No thanks!

So considering the buzz of Reed and UK, I guess this means that he doesn't end up coming here unfortunately. Instead we get an unexpected commit from someone that wasn't even linked to UK and it comes out of left field. It would be a shame because I would also love to see this kid in Kentucky blue. I've stated in previous posts that I think this kid is a better, more athletic version of Carr with higher upside as well. Yea, nobody said he was definitely going to Texas . I don’t even know if they are interested. I would think it would help them if they were though.
We need two power forwards (at least). I'd love for us to try to both. It'd be amazing if we had five front court guys and a guy like Kam who could fill in for PF as needed.
