Reds

I’m sure he’s a very good guy, but Fairchild should be working as a banker.
Or selling bubble gum.

Nick Krall is quoted in the Cincinnati Enquirer saying that David Bell has done a "solid job" this year. Not once, but twice. Get both of these ass clowns out of here. They are killing this team. Fire the manager like the White Sox already have done this year. They both need to get real and stop holding out on false hopes this team gets to the postseason. They are delusional.

“He’s done a solid job up to this point, And we can always get more out of everybody, but at the same time, I think he’s done a solid job,” Krall said. “I think we all need to figure out how to get better in some way. There’s been some really good things that have happened this year with a lot of different things. I think it’s just, ‘Hey, how can we tweak this, tweak that and continue to evaluate what we need to evaluate.’"

Last 13 games....

9 for 51: .176
1 HR / 3 RBI
22 K's
1 SB

He's even overdue for his 2 game hot streak where the clown Sadak screams and Larkin tells us how he is such a great SS.

Reds sign Rosario, not in the lineup today and was available off the bench last night. Did not get in when Bell pulled everyone else from the game. Already down 3-0 in the bottom of the 1st. George Springer has been awful all year. Reds come to town and he's back to his old form. Please end this nightmare now by firing Bell & Krall. Reds fans deserve so much better than this BS on a night-to-night basis. Suffered through decades of mediocrity and no end in sight.

Awful Marte and India just go back to back on home runs.
Glad he did something to make up for that awful error after dismal throw this weekend. Marte needs to prove he can do it against competent MLB pitching staffs. So far, his best offensive games have come vs two teams worse than the Reds with the Marlins & Blue Jays. Not much different than facing a good AAA pitching staff.

Even though he wasn't in the Reds organization anymore, still sad to know that his career is officially over. Hopefully he does have some role in the franchise and sticks around.
Yes, it is but so is how the Reds wasted his career when it comes to winning nothing with one of the best players to wear the uniform.

EDLC now with 22 home runs, 60 stolen bases, hitting .262 and only 22 years old. The guy's going to be one of the all-time greats when it's all said and done.

Another retread to ride the bench. Guess they will crack Smith up with how hard of contact he makes like Ty France. Fraley injured now. Bell should be happy that he doesn't have to play him now and can find more ABs for Fairchild & Benson. Still no Rece Hinds. What a joke!

White Sox fired their manager already, Mariners just let Scott Servais go. David Bell continues on as Reds manager because he is doing a 'solid job'. Taking a series against the sorry Blue Jays doesn't change anything about how I feel in regards to the current state of the Reds. They have it all to prove. Every time they get on the brink of about to go on a run, they fall apart once they sniff the .500 mark.

Fifth player since 1901 to have 20 homers and 60 steals in the same season.

Rece Hinds had a great week with the Reds. But tonight he is 0 for 3 with two strikeouts with the Bats and is currently hitting .205

I don't read too much into that. He was hitting .216 before the call-up and went on to win the NL Player of the Week. Hinds is one of the organization's top 15 prospects so it isn't like he is some minor league journeyman who just got lucky. 23 HR & 98 RBIs last year, that power needs to be in GABP. I wouldn't doubt the dude has gotten complacent in an organization that shows they do not value him. I've heard Welsh say before in games this happens to prospects left in the minors too long. Besides, what are the guys ahead of him like Benson and all of these rejects they are signing hitting that aren't going to be apart of the future to have a roster spot above Rece? Don't need anymore half-assed 1B.

Hinds did nothing with Cincinnati to warrant the demotion to begin with. If you are going to build for the future, then do it. Hell, if not Hinds they go out and trade for Joey Wiemer and he gets a cup of coffee. Right back down to Louisville. You are never going to know what these guys are capable of doing by stashing them in AAA. I would be very surprised if Domonic Smith and Ty France are in this organization next season. Rosario might be, but he isn't a reject yet.

An easy assumption, but assuming Reds are out of race at end of season, they should sign Joey to a one day contract & let him play 1B the first 1/2 inning, then bat him leadoff in the bottom 1/2, & then take him out.

Assuming Toronto didn't actually release him or negotiate a buyout, then they will still own the rights to him, I believe.

David Bell is an idiot. Reds up five to nothing he brings in some bum from Louisville leaves him out there, just getting tattooed. Now 5-4.

Re Lowder, people will say: "But you'll use up one of his options!" I say: "Big deal, use him up before he gets hurt."
I agree. If he is as good as advertised, he will never need all 3. Pitchers like Greene and Abbott haven't been optioned since their debut. I imagine Lowder would be the same.

Krall needs to go get someone off the waiver wire just to eat innings at this point so they can just make it to the finish the way everyone is getting injured. At the very least, call-up Lyon Richardson to pick up a few innings in long relief or slide into the rotation with the injuries mounting up. Started off this road trip in Toronto with the bullpen picking up 5 innings in relief, then today using the opener strategy making it a bullpen game. They can't survive like this.

And the Reds lose 6-5 because he leaves the pitcher that just got brought up today out there too long like an idiot. He has no feel for the game. Any other franchise would have made a move right now. Not saying it is all his fault but it's time to see a new face being the manager.

Agreed, rough way to lose after the lead they had. I read an article on the 12th that said Brandon Williamson was supposed to start a rehab assignment the following week. 11 days later there is no information out there about whether he started one yet or not.

Nats calling up their 2023 #1 draft pick Dylan Crews. Reds need to be doing the same this year with Lowder.

I was hoping he would get to Chattanooga this year. Hard to believe both Stewart & Collier drafted in 2022 haven't made it out of A Ball when they have been playing well. Marte better kick it into high gear if he wants to be the 3B of the long-term future. Especially with the Reds infield next year shifting the lineup around to fit all of McLain, India, EDLC and Candelario. Jeimer needs to be moved, but good luck finding someone to take on his contract. This is the offseason India probably is traded as well. Their are talented 3B like Collier & Stewart soon to be here. Can't forget Arroyo who is predominatly a SS, but Elly is not losing that spot. Really only 2B & 3B spots for all of these players to get playing time from.

What about Greene? Haven't seen anything on his "second opinion" trip to California, maybe I missed it.
