Building a team has become a chess match. I saw one analyst throwing out the idea that coach nay be close to done on his incoming frosh class and is more looking into the transfer portal.

Could well work. IF our three current frosh stay...and I tend to think 2 will...and Garrison and rumor has it Oweh stays.... that's a better start than this year was. There is a rumor (among thousands) that Kriissa may petition for a medical redshirt because of his injury.
That's kind of an intriguing possibility.

I think the class we got right now is a really good one, and along with possible returnees should field a good team. Personally I would like to add one top 10 guy from hs and finish out the rest with portal guys. I know people are gonna say we don’t need 5 stars and one and done types but I disagree, we don’t need 4 or 5 but having at least 1 surrounded by experience I think is the right recipe for team building. Popes done a heck of a job though, he’ll figure it out

I think we need to add some real talent from the portal with what we have staying/coming or we will be in a pickle. Experience, skill, strength.

Not worried. We’ve got a great base to build on and an excellent staff to wrap this one up. I can’t wait to see what they put together but I for one am not going to sweat this class at all.

Exactly this. The good fits are going to find coach.
