LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Turnabout was fair play Saturday at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Less than 24 hours after being clubbed 14-1 by Kentucky, South Carolina returned the favor with a 15-1 blowout of the No. 9 Wildcats.

Sophomore right-hander Cody Morris (6-2), like UK's Sean Hjelle the night before, did not need the generous run support. He worked six innings, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out 10.

South Carolina (18-13, 5-6 SEC) supported him with a 15-hit attack that included home runs by L.T. Tolbert, Jonah Bride and Hunter Taylor. The latter also doubled twice and drove in five runs to lead the Gamecocks.

Kentucky starter Zach Haake (1-2) had the worst outing of his young career with the Cats. The junior right-hander, one of the top pitching prospects in the country, struggled with leaving the ball up in the zone and was battered for 10 runs on nine hits.

The Cats (21-10, 4-7 SEC) were held to just four hits on the night. One was the first home run of shortstop Trey Dawson's career at UK that accounted for the home team's lone run.

The decisive Game 3 of the weekend series is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPNU.
