At this point, I'd take Al Sharpton over Calipari. Screw Calipari.
1-4 ain't happening. No problem with trying. Number 5 hell no1. Brad Stevens 2. Dan Hurley 3. Jay Wright (maybe too old at 62) 4. Billy Donovan 5. Lamont Paris
don't forget steve kerrPat Reilly Gregg Popovich should be up there too.
Hell of an upgrade over the lazy stubborn ass we have.I think we get Drew. I know a lot of you don't want him, but he's probably the best option right now.
We are already turning into Indiana, Drew would for sure put us there.I think we get Drew. I know a lot of you don't want him, but he's probably the best option right now.

Ummmm no. His strategy was for Gohlke to shoot. That’s it! That’s not coaching.I would settle for Oaklands coach. Did anyone not see the passion and intensity with his players
I'd take Bruce or Minnie either one over Calipari.Saw a lot of Bruce Pearl support yesterday but not much today………….
Agreed, this is the problem, what are you left with that is worth throwing away 33 million?1-4 ain't happening. No problem with trying. Number 5 hell no
And coaching against a bum who has made a habit of bending over and grabbing his ankles for numerous inferior opponents for years .Ummmm no. His strategy was for Gohlke to shoot. That’s it! That’s not coaching.
I’m not sure but I don’t want Drew any where near this program. Drew has been at Baylor since 2003. In that time he only has 2 conference championships. Both of those championships came at the same time he won the NCAA championship. He got lucky as hell that Covid happened and most of his team stuck around because they couldn’t work out for the NBA. You take Covid out of the equation and he has 1 less conference championships and no NCAA championship. All that since 2003. I know Cal needs to go but hiring Drew would be the nail in the coffin to becoming Indiana. Then who do we get.
Right now I'm more worried about moving away from what we have.
Baylor likely was going to win the 2020 championship as well. Covid probably cost him a title.I’m not sure but I don’t want Drew any where near this program. Drew has been at Baylor since 2003. I think Kansas and even Kentucky had a better chance going into the tournament that year.Baylor likely was going to win the 2020 championship as well. Covid probably cost him a title.
Maybe Kansas. Kentucky was rated much lower in Ken Pom.I think Kansas and even Kentucky had a better chance going into the tournament that year.
Kentucky didn't. Not with CalipariI think Kansas and even Kentucky had a better chance going into the tournament that year.
Pearl just lost to the Yale debate team.Bruce Pearl is perfect fit, and I think it's the only Job he'd actually leave Auburn for. Let's be real, Hurley, Wright isn't walking thru that door
I'd take Bruce or Minnie either one over Calipari.
100%, Drew is a less successful and dynamic Cal lite.I’m not sure but I don’t want Drew any where near this program. Drew has been at Baylor since 2003. You don't think Bruce, with Kentucky talent could beat Oakland? Auburn doesn’t have Kentucky's talent. You can like anyone you want, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t yield in worse results.

There is also a reason Kentucky has won a championship with 5 different coaches. The same ole, if so and so had Cal’s talent argument. There’s a reason he doesn’t have that level of talent and 1 of the many reasons he would fail here. Next.

I disagree with this assessment, uk can and will ponies up 8 to 10 million if it's the right guy. There are a lot power 5 that don't value basketball that much and would refuse to match thatRealistically we probably can't get a huge name to coach here. We are no longer anything special. We don't have anything to offer that any power 5 can't match. In this century we have 1 title.
We will need to look at some promising mid major coach or go the Duke/UNC route and hire someone that was connected to the program at some point.
The fact is you don't have to be the head coach at UK to get talent good enough to win a Title. Villanova and UConn aren't anywhere near the historic level that UK has been but, each has won multiple titles recently. It’s hard to say who would say no to this job. This is Kentucky. Look how bad Cal wanted this job before he got it. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re right about Scott Drew being his choice if he makes the next hire.

If you're going to eliminate coaches because they lost a game they shouldn't have, you're going to eliminate everybody.
Yale says Pearl is a loserYou don't think Bruce, with Kentucky talent could beat Oakland? Auburn doesn’t have Kentucky's talent.
Oakland and Saint Peters say that about Calipari.Yale says Pearl is a loser
Agree with Pearl. Dude wants and needs a title. Hates losing. Give him 5 years to do it. I believe he does.
