Could've misread but I thought I saw a few weeks go that UK would be his first OV and that he would be making other visits in July. Seems Illinois, Oklahoma and maybe Auburn were mentioned. So has he cancelled those visits? I know UK is thought to lead but I took it from those comments that he wasn't ready to commit.

When numbers start getting tight, and from reading here I think UK's, dates, visits and announcements have a way of changing.

Kid stands people up and drives them on their heels. Rush blocking skills look really good. May need some time with pass protection, but will be here in December to prepare. Probably slated for right tackle.

I think they're figuring LT Cave.

Wow..I love that we got this guy..when we're beating out Alabama for 4-star offensive linemen on multiple occasions in a single class, that's something to stand up and take notice of...we need help on the line and it looks like it's coming in the future..goes to show you how much of a difference a strong leader like Drake Jackson and Landon Young can do (much like Barker did in '14)..I have to be honest..I was slow to gravitate to this class because of the high # of offers we had to guys that weren't getting attention outside of the MAC, etc..but Stoops has surprised me yet again with his ability to recruit elite offensive linemen (which I still believe is the hardest position to recruit in football)

Kudos to Stoops, and I'm glad he appears to be proving me wrong on this class..I just hope that we can have a nice 7 or 8-win season and keep all these guys on board once the bigger programs put on the full-court press and will use disappointing on-the-field results against us (if we have them)

Leavitt will probably be a RT.

In two years our line will probably look something like this

RT - Leavitt/Richardson
RG - Jones/Larubbio
C - Jackson/Stallings
LG - George AA/Haynes
LT - Young/Stenberg

That is an SEC line through and through

I think Fortner is pretty good. Kid may surprise.

Leavitt is penciled in as Swindell's replacement at LT for the 2016 season. I know, he has to earn it but that's the plan.

We won't have a top ten class once the ratings are done, but you won't find a better group of OL recruits. Great job by coach Schlarman, Stoops, and Marrow!!

Some analysts have said his body type is better for RT. If he dominates like he does in his video, I do not care where he plays, just so long as he is driving people down field like he does at the Juco level and opening holes for our runners!!!

If these guys get rating bumps like the last several, we should finish in the mid to high teens...

We will end up fighting the big boys for several of these commits,I hope they stick with us this year...Jackson leadership should help...

Yes he's a LT. I don't know where folks are getting this RT stuff.
I don't either. The biggest hole on our team is left tackle. After Swindle graduates, we won't have another SEC ready left tackle but we have several capable right tackles. Leavitt has said he is being recruited as a left tackle. It's obvious that Leavitt is being brought in to start at left tackle in 2016. Landon Young will get in the picture for the left tackle job after Leavitt graduates. Leavitt, Jones, and Laster will be eligible in 2016, when Patrick Towels will be a senior. I expect a bowl in 2015, but it looks like 2016 will be the year everything really comes together for Stoops' program.

Good analysis, thanks, show more improvement and make a bowl for more practice time this year and make a big splash in 16. And it could be a VERY big splash.

Then in 17 all the big players from the 14 class will be in their fourth year, most redshirted so 18 looks bright also with all the other great talent coming in (only one defection so far and Krok replaced by Leavitt) along with a lot of great help coming in now, the OL MIGHT be the best in the nation by then. And it is already attracting more skill players IMO.

Not just a bright future soon but improving as we go along.

A lot of spots on defense will have to be filled next year. Lewis, Huegenin, CJ, Jabari, Forrest, Stamps, Flannigan, Quinn, and Tiller are all seniors.

I count 8 senior starters on defense with two important seniors back ups. That is 10/22 on the two deep gone after this season. Plus there are only 3 significant juniors on the two deep as listed today because of the gap that caused by Joker's last couple of classes and the coaching change. That is a huge turnover for any defense. The two transfers and several JUCO's committed will help but we will be very young on defense in 2016. I wouldn't be surprised if we took more transfers on defense if they can play right away next season.

What is all this Right tackle talk with Tate? He is a prototypical Left Tackle and I pretty sure that is where he played most of his career. He can come to Kentucky and step right into Left Tackle spot immediately.
