I don’t know why but I have always really liked Poythress. More than just the normal liking of UK players. He has always seemed like such a good guy. I wish him the best.

He has not been diagnosed with a serious medical issue.

He has one-sided facial paralysis, also known as facial hemiparesis. There are several potential underlying causes for this condition, with some being serious (tumors, for example) and others being quite benign (short term viral infection of the facial nerves).

Until it is known what the cause is, it's too early to speculate or to call it a "serious medical issue." It may or may not be serious.

In any case, I wish him well and hope it's *not* something serious.
