* Good overall team performance by the Cats today in beating an under-manned but scrappy Auburn team. Cats did what they needed to do to get the easy win.

* Andrew has improved his play, good to see that. Our guard play overall is improved. We need Booker and Aaron to be able to knock down open shots and we need Ulis to do what he does and we saw that for the most part today. They need to continue to get better at limiting penetration on defense and playing the pick and roll ... since we are going to see a lot of that in the NCAA tournament.

* Our bigs dominated inside today, and they should have against a small Auburn frontline. Willie played well today, showed a nice touch in the jumper that he needs to translate on those inside shots. Towns is still where the offense will need to run thru against the good teams. Dakari and Lee gave us good minutes.

* Harrell had 13 pts but only one FG today ... with Willie getting a lot defensive minutes against him.

* Cats 30-35 from the FT line and 7-14 from 3pt line. Those are the kind of numbers that you need to win a title. Keep it up Cats.

* The dance for the #1 and #2 seeds is going to be really interesting. If Wisconsin wins, you have to think they merit a #1. If Nova wins, it looks like they may get a #1. If that occurs, that would mean only one of Duke, UVA, and Zona would, all really good teams, would get a #1. I will take whoever we get and deal with it, but have to think that Kansas or Gonzaga would be our best options for a #2 seed in the Midwest. Iowa State, Notre Dame, Maryland, all are formidable #3 seeds.

* Up Next: Cats vs. UGA or Arkansas. Regardless of who wins that game, the Cats will have a difficult opponent in the SEC Championship. It is now time for the Cats to take that next big jump in their play and intensity in their quest for #9. We are entering the win and advance or lose and go home stage of the season. It's game on time.
