Poor Will Levis

I imagine Titans fans don't want another QB and are good to go with Levis? If so, the draft position won't matter too much. You're going to get one of the better Oline guys or maybe the 2nd or 3rd wr off the board.

Anytime you don't need to draft a QB, you're in a good spot

I want Harrison or Bowers. Doubt either are available.

I'd rather the titans use all that cap room to sign veteran olinemen.

Looks like Hopkins is here another year so that helps. Would love resigning Henry at a lower price as well. He isnt the back he was but has a couple more good seasons left perhaps. The team needs to evolve to a modern passing offense though so expect he isnt brought back.

I’d take Levis every year just like he was here. He’s a gamer and plays to win. Tough as hell too.

I loved him at UK and love him still. In terms of collegiate QB play, Leary was much better. Leary was plagued by putrid wr play which was as much wrong/poor routes as it was the historic drop rate.

I'm curious to see how bvg looks with seemingly a good upgrade to the wr room which should push some guys that got a little too comfortable. A new wr coach should help too because woody wasn't a technician and was way too cozy with the guys while demanding zero accountability

Hopkins made some absurd catches yesterday, was like watching Hopkins from 3-4 years ago.

Bowers might be available, but I'm not high on taking a TE that early. Harrison will be gone. But there still will be lots of Oline guys and a few WRs by the 10th pick. I think the QBs will sneak up as the draft gets closer. There are WAYY too many backups QBs out there right now. Some tems are going to trade up to get a guy like Penix or Mcdaniels.

At Kentucky Leary was better? No chance. Leary's stats are better from NC State. He was NOT better at Kentucky than Will Levis. Drops or no drops, Levis was a better player. Not just passing, running the ball. Levis ran for 9 touchdowns his junior year alone. Leary ran for 6 his entire college career.

Neither were their best at UK. Wonder why? 🤔

Titans remaining games are winnable. That doesn't mean they'll win em all but at the very least I think they should win a couple.

Titan's entire left side of OL are rookies. So, they're learning too. For Will come in mid-season, do what he's done with a rookie left side...not bad. If he Finishes with 5 maybe 6 wins, that's a huge deal.

Having your QB and his left side being rookies is tough sledding, but the growing pains should pay dividends next year.

Hopkins and Henry are getting old. Let them finish out their contracts, but titans need to find some youth at the playmaker/skill positions, to compliment those guys and lighten their load at the very least. I wouldn't leverage the franchise or break any bank to re-up with two 30-year-old guys with wear and tear. If they want to take a team friendly deal, cool, if not trade em for some pieces or draft picks.

Overall, Will clearly has something and has shown some flashes of being "that guy"...just need a little bit more time to learn/mature/develop, a few pieces here and there.

Yes Leary was much better. Ball came out on time and on target. Presnap and post snap reads much better. Pocket presence much better. Way fewer turnovers. The major step backwards in leadership and intangibles.

Fans got mesmerized by the hurdles and emotion and overlooked over all the negatives and slow/bad decisions that cost us.

I think your football knowledge is pretty sound, but you are off on this one. Levis was much better than Leary. Sorry bud. That mistake Leary made toward the end of the Louisville game was absolutely awful and it was inexcusable for a QB with his experience to make that throw. His accuracy was all over the place this season. One throw it would be a dime and the next air mail the receiver by 10 yards, Sort of feels like you were watching a different dude than the rest of us. Levis threw a couple more picks, but everything else he gave us far outweighed what Leary did.

Levis led UK to a 10 win season.

Leary went 7 and 5 and was like a 53.15% completion percentage in the SEC.

Then he made big throws to help us come back. Levis had two game losing turnovers vs Ole miss. Levis averaged a turnover or more per game. I love Levis too but it was what it was.

Leary's lack of fire hurt more than it should since it was combined with a diva at wr. Levis letting Hopkins have it after giving up on a route was exactly what brown needed this year but didn't get. Drops start to take care of themselves when you have a genetic lottery winner waiting to discuss it with you on the sideline. Was it what it was.

No matter what, I still like Leary. But for the same reason as everyone else, I love Will Levis

So the Iowa Citrus bowl win vs. top notch Iowa defense does not count? (We had no left side of the Oline and he took some nasty hits and balled out in the end) I totally get 2022 was a bad taste in our mouths for Levis.....but his 2021 was a damn great season. Even in losses vs. UGA and Tennesee...he was dominate. Levis LSU game was amazing. His 4 TDs vs UL was some amazing highlights.

Leary was inept at throwing the ball over the middle (I don't think he could see the field). He for sure had some drops, I but think we way overplay the drops on this board. Dane had a bad first 5 games of 2023, Anthony Brown-Stephens was bad vs. Mizzou (and he was rarely targeted the rest of season)...>Barion was a ball dropper all year for some reason we kept him getting fed.

But Leary's numbers would improve a few percentage points on completion percentage but not up to mid 60% range by any stretch. Plus Levis was a stud runner and Leary a dudd runner.

You usually know your stuff....but the Levis vs. Leary take is way off.

I never ever said he didn't have his highlights. He had plenty. He had the occasional awesome game then several stinkers. For every LSU game he had a vandy or SC or MSU game.

Fans just remember the high points. The Iowa game is a great example. He only had 233 yards and a major chunks of that came on two insane wandale plays at the end. Even the game winning TD was an awful decision to pitch and crod somehow still got in. Very mediocre yet fans remember Levis having an awesome game. It's really interesting because the human psyche tends to remember negative things.

I addressed all this stuff over the years and provided concrete examples of how Levis was physically incredible but mentally very lacking. Before his sr year I predicted he'd go #1 overall so it isn't like I wasn't a fan. He just didn't make enough progress in the off-season and his wr corp dipped. Still he made huge progress in the NFL and it's incredibly impressive. Major props. Hopefully he takes another leap in the off-season.

I thought he was incredible vs. Iowa given UK had crap on that left side and he was under duress the entire game. He won that game along with Wandale. And I agree on your take Levis had a handful of bad memories (the Ole Miss game....Will lost that basically).

But what did Leary do in any game that was good? Outside of his game vs. Tennessee (in a loss)...I struggle to find a game I came away thinking.....Leary controlled that game on the whole. Had balls batted down and couldn't throw middle of field due to his size. I think his QB play was worse than Towles as far as Stoops QBs.

I've heard quite a few talking heads say that Leary was the biggest disappointment this years team. Levis completed ten percent more of his passes than Leary, averaged more passing yards than Leary, rushed for more yards than Leary and led his team to more wins. He also had a higher QB rating in his two seasons here.
Levis was the best QB to play here in the Stoops era and it really isn't close. This was supposed to have been a big year for Kentucky and we ended up with the same record that a hurt Levis had in 2022.

Sam LaPorta was taken #34. LaPorta has been great for Lions. Bowers won’t last that long. He appears to be a unique talent. I won’t be surprised if he goes first half of first round, but I am no expert. In 2023, TE Kincaid went # 25. Is Bowers better?

I don’t agree with that at all.

From everything I've read, Bowers is the real deal.

But my problem is, taking a tight end that high, isn't exactly a position of need in the NFL. Your tier 1 positions for a high draft pick are: QB, Pass rusher, OLine.. then Cornerback or WR would be tier 2. Tight end might not even be the next tier down.

It's just not a highly critical position in today's NFL, and some teams just don't have much of a use for a TE from an offensive standpoint. Some TEs are used more for pass blocking, and that's really something you can find in later rounds IMO. Look at Kyle Pitts, he was a generational type TE talent, who will have been drafted higher than Bowers at 4th overall. Atlanta doesn't even use him.

Saw them post a stat something like 760 straight games a team was down by 13+ with 3:00 to go and lost. Pretty good stuff from Will in the 4th!
Levis was incredible in last 2:42 of the game. Leading 2 drives for TD’s and a 2pt conversion was great stuff. The last drive was 4 plays for 64 yrds in 26 secs. Rookies just don’t do that

With every accomplishment and record set by Levis, Coen’s light shines a little brighter.

Levis was a theee star HS player and a backup at Penn State who was known only as a strong runner.

Three years later look at him!!

Dude. Eli cox called out the pre-snap coverages because Leary couldn’t. That’s why our offense ran so slow. There is no category in which Leary was better than Levis.
