Yes, that is very clear. Dissent and disagreement has been reworded as "disloyalty" and "hating Trump" in the party now. But it is what the party has become, which is ever-so clear since yesterday when a Trump backed PAC launched a $1,000,000 ad buy against Thomas Massie for being too conservative and not falling in-line.
A lot of the immigration and border enforcement is via EO. 7 from what I can count, although yes there has been some things that didn't require it. The Laken Riley Act is about the only immigration bill that we have put into law, but it's a very specific bill that even got 40+ Dem votes. DOGE hasn't really proven to be a long-lasting success either. They tried, forsure, but Congress is only willing to *maybe* codify about 12 hours worth of gov't spending in DOGE cuts. I just have a very, very, very hard time celebrating that when we were promised much more. I don't think anyone being sold the DOGE cut hype pre-election was expecting just a temporary fix. The attack mission on Iran was impressive. Honestly don't expect anything less from our military. Our military dominance rarely gets understood until things like that happen. Not really buying that the issue is just over with, however. Maybe it can hopefully be, but hard to take a victory lap on ANYTHING presented as peace in the Middle East. I don't know enough to go in-depth on military strategy and what was the right or wrong move, however. I have opinions, but that's about it.
What I want is real cuts codified into law on larger scale. Then we can talk about big tax cuts aswell. Tax cuts with only minor spending cuts is just a future death sentence. Rather than creating a Palantir database of citizens, keep the promise of protecting citizens from the government. Pass legislation to further reduce federal government powers. I mean, if Palantir was sponsoring Biden military parades and working to create a database on us, every person here would be going nuts aswell. Right now the biggest issue I am seeing is the admin fighting for more power. Like today, the rogue judges decision sounds good right now, but I fear that is going to lead to 4 years of EO'd socialism next time we get a Dem, with little anyone can do until the Supreme Court takes their months to make a ruling. Another example of not thinking ahead. Also including taking states rights away on AI in the BBB aswell. Not going to pretend that I know EVERYTHING about the BBB but I am losing hope of any large scale cuts with spending and taxes. Seems like it gets chopped down weekly. I saw a right-leaning account even state that the newest form essentially keeps a lot of benefits in place for illegals (although I haven't read such for myself, but made the assumption it was true considering it was from someone who is a big Trump supporter, so no sure why they would lie). Would a bill banning all benefits for illegals be too much to ask? Or heck, even a bill requiring states to pay for such if they want to. I would think that would make it through the house pretty easily. About to leave for work so ill leave it at that for now.
