I don't understand why anyone in the ME even tries against Israel. You would think when half their leadership gets wiped out in a week they would think ..yeah maybe this was a bad idea.

Nowadays, most of the middle east considers Iran much more of a disruption than Israel. Iran is the loose cannon that is constantly making things tough over there, and disrupting. Most of them just want to sell oil and build stuff. It's always drama drama drama with Iran, and they're a bad influence on others.
You want proof that the US is still the baddest on the block? We're taking a position in support of Israel that the rest of the world universally detests, and what is the reaction? A whole lot of nothing. Just a bunch of hot air bloviating. Some tough talk behind our backs. They're not going to do sh*t. They know it, and we know it.

You barely heard a word on Israel’s attack from any major players. They all want Iran subdued as they know they may be next.
That does not make a whole lot of sense to me. The F-22 is almost a pure air to air fighter and Iran's ancient air force was already pretty much destroyed by Israel. The F-22 can carry some smaller bombs but they aren't ideal for taking out larger targets.

Like Kaplan said, the f-22 was designed to intercept and escort. Because of its extremely tiny radar signature (looks like a bumblebee) it can escort a B-2 without increasing the radar cross section to much. They also escort the refueling tankers.
Here they intercept a Russian Bear that got to close to Alaska.
