The position he was appointed to by Walz and before that Dayton was a “workforce board” position. These workforce boards essentially use or distribute public money to try to create and/or fill private sector jobs. Not a political position and doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a Democrat. Certainly not a “leftist”. With his private security background and the fact that he is of some prominence, this is a really weird and atypical murderer/assasin.
